Well, as I was just doing some playful searching for any news revolving around the final book & movie, I came across this tidbit of information that I cannot believe took me this long to discover...I guess I'll be getting a PS3 next year....

Ubisoft Montreal will be developing the videogame for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, the upcoming live-action film based on the popular series of graphic novels.

&

O'Malley said that  the game would use the same manga-inspired style of the comics and that it would be a side-scrolling beat-em-up.

This all makes me very happy, plus the news that Scott Pilgrim 6 will be out in 2010.

wooooo

It moves the speed of light and carries more unadulterated joy than Ive seen in recent cinema.

I cannot be anymore geeked now!! Thanks for the find, Scott. And I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around this...

It feels like a "Matrix" for love and how willing we are to fight for it.

...ahhhh, what?  That doesn't make any sense.  :D

So, wait?  We're willing to fight for the Matrix?  Even Agent Smith gave up on that.

QuoteSpeaking of which, Broken Social Scene have done some great stuff for the Scott Pilgrim film. And harnessed their inner Slayer...

I totally missed the update in this thread. What, inner-Slayer? I hope Edgar isn't exaggerating, because that's pretty gnarly. Hey iv3rd, isn't Metric having a large role in this, too?

Sorry RAD, I just read this now. I haven't heard anything about Metric being involved. That would be really cool if they did though. *edit* Googled it and saw a couple posts about it, maybe doing just a track? Either way, that's awesome.

I'm all but positive I heard Metric were going to score it (I hadn't researched it, it was on Milwaukee's Independent Rock Station), and I thought it was perfection w/ the parallels to the Canadian backdrop & Indie vibe of the comic.

It's also neat seeing the books receiving some very well deserved props...

...and he better end up w/ Kim! *is too anxous for the sixth & final book*

PS: I still like my choice for the casting of Scott (Caboose) more so than Edgar's.  :)

The cool factor is off the charts in that frame.

Well AICN hasn't seen it yet, but I'm dead-positive they'll love it.    :)

How awesome, indeed...

The Universal Logo was rendered in 8 bit with the Universal theme a MIDI version. Awesome. I knew I was again going to love it when the familiar opening from The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (triforce spinning) cued the opening shot, a tilt down to an exterior of a house.

This is hard to spin positively...

For starters, Cera is Michael Cera.

And he's gonna steal the show as he does within the frames of the books:

His gay room mate Kieran Culkin is hilarious in this, he steals virtually every scene he's in.

*high-fives Wallace Wells *

I had no idea it was coming out August 17th, but it's nice to have a street-date appended to it now. I have a date w/ Sex Bob-omb in less than 8 months, yes! Then I've seen every band I ever dreamed of seeing!!

"Hey, his birthday is then!"

"His Birthday is August 17th?"

"No."

Ah, bastardizing beloved dialogue, a trademark of fandom.
