I think I need to go with a more Bronze color for the tone of my skin.. ::)

I thought they were gonna 'delve' into the proper use of a Douche for some reason :-[

I learned women back then wore full makeup, even in the bathtub (or buuuth). I love the shot of her putting on lipstick, as it is done without a closeup to attempt to disguise she was wearing lipstick already.

I learned women had rouge on 24 hours a day, and put additional makeup on after it.

No, really, was this bitch so insecure she couldn't be seen without makeup - even in a film that's showing women how to PUT IT ON?

I have a bone to pick with whoever wrote the description of the short. An actress no one ever heard of?? She happens to have starred in Topper, one of the greatest screwball comedies of all time. For shame, sirs!

Of course, that's not going to prevent me from getting the riff. But let's have a little respect for the great films of yesteryear, if you please.  8)

I've decided to constantly narrate my beauty routine and I aim to hit the 5 minute and 20 second mark at least part of the time

I recognized her right off the bat. Still funny, though.  :)

She was in Hollywood...what do you think?

I knew she was in Topper but after reading her imdb credit list,  I don't think I've seen anything else she's done.  She seems to be one of those actresses who were content to quit the biz early.

Where the hell did they show this short?  This hardly seems the kind of thing to run between a weekend double-feature.  "Shut up, kids.  Your cartoon will be on as soon as we watch the lady put on her make-up." ??

Some actresses were unconcerned with that - Luise Rainer springs to mind. Bette Davis as well.

No, I do everything the same. However, I now insist that a house worker fill my bath water.
Oh bite me, it's fun!
