That is going back aways.

I love the idea of seeing the classic Muppet movies in the theater.

favorite muppet movie is Muppet Caper, but really I love all 3. I love Christmas Carol and Treasure Island, too, even thought they're not as good as the original 3.

Christmas Carol and Treasure Island are really so different than the others that I find it difficult to compare, I love them all! Muppets from Space was mediocre, and Muppets Wizard of Oz was one of the worst things I've seen in years.

I really wish Brian Henson would direct more.

Muppets Christmas Carol is not only the best Muppets movie, it's one of the best movies period.

It is certainly my favorite Christmas Carol adaptation. I have high hopes for the Muppet movie the guys from Forgetting Sarah Marshal are working on.

I'm glad you guys love Muppet Christmas Carol too. Sometimes I feel silly saying how much I love it. It's my 2nd favorite adaptation---personally my favorite is Scrooge, the musical from the early 70s with Albert Finney and Alec Guinness. What I love most about the muppet version, and what it has over the others, other than the presence of the muppets, is it gets all that great narration in. "He was a tight-fisted man to the grindstone, Scrooge; a squeezing, wrenching, scraping, grasping, clutching, covetous old sinner."

Thinking of the Muppet Christmas Carol just brought back memories of my first 10 Christmases. I should watch it again sometime.

I've been a fan of Muppet Christmas Carol ever since I saw it in the theater. Even though it has the Muppets in it, it's probably a more accurate adaption of the book than many of the others I've seen. I love how they use Gonzo as a device to allow for Dickens' original narration to be present in the film. It kind of feels like a feature length episode of The Storyteller, with the Muppets playing supporting roles. I also have a soft spot for Mickey's Christmas Carol. It's not everyday you get to see Pete push Scrooge into Hell.  8)

I just managed to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the big screen. Pretty awesome. Blogged it here:

Wow---THINKING about Mickey's Christmas Carol was trippy---that memory was in a dusty file cabinet in my mind. Got to see that again this Christmas.

I saw it as a kid and it scared me so much at that scene, I made my mom take me home.

Cosmic Muse

10. E.T. the Extra Terrestrial
9. Jaws
8. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Because it's all one huge movie packed into three parts.)
7. Transformers: The Movie (The animated one of course.)
6. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Because being a kid back then I was cautioned not to go see it in the theaters because of the melting Nazis.)
5. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
4. Star Trek III: The Search For Spock
3. The Empire Strikes Back - Theatrical Cut
2. Star Wars - Theatrical Cut
1. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

THE QUEEN!!!

rewatched The Manchurian Candidate (the amazing original) and I would pay to see that one.
