THE QUEEN!!!

TWILIGHT

We wanted to see this again so bad we went to Blockbuster to see if we could get it used, and we did. But I felt so ashamed to be buying it--like I was buying porn--I wanted to hide it in a brown paper bag. I went outside and immediately took the cover out, and went home and defaced it. :) That was the best cleansing ever. This is the worst regular movie I've ever seen, other than a movie called Charley which you should all be glad you've never seen. Soooooooo bad. So bad in fact that the only redeeming thing we could find about the movie is that there are good forest locations. Ain't it pathetic?

That being said, this is the best trax ever---funny as the funniest MSTs. It is so well done that I laughed my voice out. Great. Brilliant. We can't stop quoting it. "THe makers of Twilight would like to encourage everyone to have or look at Breasts." I know a trax is good when I react to the movie and make a comment about how dumb something is, then they make a comment about the same thing. I freaking love this one. Even the pain the film brings is worth it!

Island of Dr. Moreau. It was a rather "meh" Rifftrax for me. Next up is Firewall, which my dvd should arrive tomorrow.

I really like the Firewall trax.  They give it good to Harrison Ford.  They haven't ganged up on an actor like that since Joe Don Baker.  And, in this film anyway, Harrison Ford deserves everything he gets.

I look forward to tomorrow night then.
Oh, I also watch Fast & Furious the other night, and that was just excellent. They've really gotten into "groove" or something of the sort lately, I've really enjoyed all the recent releases.

Fast & Furious.

I swear to whatever power that currently holds sway in the multiverse that I have absolutely no idea what was happening in this movie, but I enjoyed the RT a lot.

Parts I didn't understand I attributed to something you need to see the other movies for, meaning I will never understand them.

I The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift they show many scenes of the digging of the mine shaft, and there are several scenes fleshing out the character Letty and her motivations.

Watched Firewall yesterday and just finished Reign of Fire.
Firewall was another "meh" for me, I just couldn't get into the riffs. I like how the movie tries to pass itself off as "intelligent" just because it involved computers and technology, none of which worked the way it really does. First off, don't they know that once any media gets involved with Apple, you no longer have the ability to do anything with it? As soon as it was plugged into another computer they would have lost everything. /dislike of Apple

Reign of Fire, however, was a much different story. I laughed the whole way though. Nice callback to the previous track with Kevin saying Mike is incredibly old, though I forget/don't know what he referenced to prompt that in this one.

Continuing through the catalog with Battlefield Earth, since I recently watched Daredevil with a friend (another very good track)

Planet of  Dinosaurs

Considering I had just viewed three great rifftrax in row (Empire, Voodoo Man, and the live Plan 9) I knew that any trax I watched next had a tough act to follow.  And Planet of Dinosaurs wasn't quite on the same level as those three, but it was still a pretty solid trax.  I felt they relied a bit too much on old ideas and running gags in this one but the cheesy film allowed them enough riffable moments to make it fun.  And all the endless walking scenes did them in a bit, as it would anybody trying to riff this film. As Kevin said,  it was a painful reminder of the famous rock climbing from Lost Continent.  A decent trax that I'm guessing will grow on me with repeat viewings.

House on Haunted Hill - second viewing

I didn't care for this much the first time.  It was suggested that I give it another try and I did enjoy it a bit more the second time around.  Especially the first half.  Still, a lot of riffs fell flat and the riffing in general seemed a little more sparse than usual.  A middle of the road trax.

#104
Battlefield Earth- I was worried that they were just going to make Scientology jokes throughout (like they did with the Tom Cruise movies) but was pleasantly surprised to find only a few very funny ones. Sometimes I think they over exaggerate when they say how confusing and little sense a movie makes, but for this I feel they were not. Funny throughout, but not at the top of my list.

Troll 2- This was one of the first ones I bought, so I've seen it quite a few times already. As stupid and bad the movie is, I still have fun watching it, so I've always liked this track. I've only been to Something Awful a few times, and only when someone sent me a link to look at, but I did know about "Lowtax" being the guy that boxed Uwe Boll. The joke about that was quite good, especially since it didn't seem forced.

Star Trek VI:The Undiscovered Country- Not as good as the previous Star Trek track, but still very enjoyable. Loved the extended Minnesota accent segment. Good thing Bill pointed out Robert Easton as the judge, that's something you don't want to just pass you by. Glad there's only one more riffed movie, I can't exactly say I'm a fan of Star Trek. Though I haven't seen any of the "good" Star Trek, so who knows.

I'll probably get through Over the Top and Aeon Flux before the night is through, then on to The Wicker Man, Terminator 3, and Lost tomorrow night (aka tonight)
