It sounds like there will be several people from the forums seeing the live Rifftrax event in the Wilmington DE theater. Who wants to meet beforehand? (or after if you prefer)

Doctor Who?

I am and would love to meet before or after which ever is good for everyone else.  Also I may have one or two friends with me.  I am doing my bit to get people in.  This will be great.

I musta missed this thread, cause I posted something just like it a few days later.  Though I just deleted that one and reposted its contents here

I've seen a few different members here express intentions to see the live show next month at that venue, in the Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington, Delaware.  I know Doctor Who and Darth Geek were two, and I vaguely recall a third fellow chiming in about it.

So anyone want to make a night of it?  We go to the show at 8:00, and catch dinner at Moe's Southwest Grill before hand.  If you're not familiar with the area, Moe's is right around the corner from the theater.  We're talking 3 minute walk.  Back in summer 2005, I used to work at a business right next to the theater (in fact, it shared a few common walls with some of the auditoriums, and you could hear booming noises from Revenge of the Sith).  I'd go to Moe's for lunch now and then.  It's a decent Mexican eatery, kinda like Taco Bell only a smidge fancier.

Who's in?  Moe's at 7:00, Rifftrax live at 8:00.

'k.  I'll revisit this the week of the 20th, and I'll PM you guys with details.  I'll be coming to the theater straight from work, and will probably get there about 6:45 or 7:00.

Woo.  Only 6 days away!

BTW, dinner at Moe's is on me.  You're on your own for movie snacks either bought in the theater or smuggled in.

Hopefully you guys already preordered your tickets.

That doesn't sound very Thrifty.   :rimshot:

You know, that joke gets funnier every time I hear it.  Even funnier than people pointing out that the numerous Final Fantasy games contradict the "Final" in its name.

But that's not funny at all...oh, I see what you're saying.

Thanks, Thrifty. And I have already purchased my tickets. I think I'll pick them up from the theater on my way home tonight.

There is a chance I may be moving up to Wilmington if a government project at our firm is offered to me.   So maybe I can see you boys and girls in person.

The first beer will be on me.

That would be interesting, particularly if done in only 6 days.

Well, the move would be later, but I think you all would come running for free beer (you bunch of Barneys).
