...By the third sex scene I just got up and went to wash the dishes each time until it was all over.

Oh... is "washing the dishes" what the kids call it nowadays?   ;D
To dispel some of the misconceptions about head injuries you have developed from watching movies and TV, I wrote this: ...Some Information on Head Injury Effects

I have to say that I did not like Disembaudio's (and family's) riffs during the sex scenes. I know there's not much Bill, Mike & Kevin can do with those scenes, but they weren't particularly funny. By the third sex scene I just got up and went to wash the dishes each time until it was all over.

You weren't the only one.  Like hearing Alvin and the Chipmunks trying to do Sam Kinison's act.

I thought that Mike, Kevin and Bill playing the characters Walter, G-Dimes and Randal with modulated voices alongside Dis and Nana Baudio was hilarious. I guess I'm all alone on this one.

I also loved the Disembaudio segments. It was nice to have something to focus on while I tried to shut off my eyes. :^)

MSTJedi

Yeah, and the line about Wiseau looking like Weird Al as Rambo was priceless.

That line was great.   The first "visit" was good if it had stopped there...

But then, let's basically do it again only with different names....then all the screaming at people on the phone and at each other and all the stuff about horse tranquilizers.....

It got old very fast.

A little bit of that (as in Willie Wonka) goes a long way.

I'm a long time fan through MST3K, the original newsletter you got in the mail, Timmy Big-Hands and the whole schmear....

They're funny guys...but sometimes don't know when to quit.

If everyone liked all the same things and thought the same way, what a boring world it would be.

Yeah, you're right on the money here, PSCD. I realize it's a horrific sex scene and a difficult thing to handle all the way around, but I just didn't find it as drop-down funny as some people. Normally I love Disembaudio, but like you said it was like Alvin & the Chipmunks trying to do Sam Kinison's act. After the first go-round all the different synthesized voices began to grate on me more than watching Johnny's ass as he was humping Lisa, and I eventually gave up and found something else to do until it was all over.

Nana Baudio was cracking me up. I pictured Dis all dressed up Vicki Lawrence style. Great bit.

I'm kind of amazed, people on this forum who have sat through worse things (German Hamlet, anyone?) have that low of a tolerance for things like that... but hey, to each their own, different strokes, etc. etc.

Well 'Normally' we wouldn't subject ourselves to this kind of visual torture but Mike (and probably Bill & Kev) seems to want us all to suffer for some sick reason :speechless:

German Hamlet was bad but the riffing and the skits were there to soften the blow.  Unless you're saying that entire episode sucked. (And if you ever say that straight to the guy's faces, can't you film it and put it on YouTube?)

The "Days of Disembodio's Lives" was there pure and unfiltered and - if it struck you as being unbearable - that's all there was except the movie. That's no place to find shelter.

Let's put this another way....the one time I sat through it would have been one thing.  And maybe that's really all anyone at Rifftrax is concerned about - one viewing a person - since you figure you all only get paid for it once.  But I'd like to be able to watch this many times.  And if it weren't for that one aspect, I would look forward to watching this Rifftrax again and again.

No...sorry. I guess it's like the attitude I'm getting about my question in the other thread about the Live show getting cancelled - "Don't think. We're prefect. Shut up and give us your money".

You had me right up until accusing us of having attitude. Sorry if you feel that way, but you are really overanalyzing that, in my opinion. This is not a concert with a band that's playing, it's a theatrical event that is going to happen - more or less - no matter what.

Interesting thoughts about multiple viewings, but again, how do we quantify this? You can't. Some people love the Disembaudio skits and can watch it over and over again. Other people, like you, hate it. Who's right? Both? Neither? I know this is the Internet and all, and 90% of the Internet is bitching, but it seems like whenever I bring up this concept of subjectivity in comedy, it's quickly ignored by everyone who is doing the complaining.

I mean, accusing us of wanting you to "not think?" A little extreme, huh?
