ManUnderMask

I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

Shinigami

Is Ryan the new Matthew McConaughey? I can't remember a movie where he doesn't take off his shirt.

TheBatman

Didn't see that coming, always thought he was more suited as Wally West then Hal Jordan.

Junkyard

Definetely. I just hope the filmmakers realize that if it's not up to the standards of the fan trailer, we'll have their heads.

I can see him reaching the right amount of doucheness that's needed for Hal Jordan.

Best part of this if it's true, this kills the Deadpool movie.  HURRAY!!!!!!!!!   :highfive:

I can see him doing both.  Of the rumoured 3 that were on the short-list (Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper), Cooper would've probably been my first choice, with Reynolds second.  Timberlake is a very, very, distant third.   :)

The very fact they are considering Timberlake at all is disconcerting to me as it indicates how the producers are tackling this movie.

Yeah, I mean he's not terrible or anything, but I don't want him anywhere near my favourite comic character.

Well, first of all, I don't think he'd be able to carry either movie to begin with.  But that's neither here nor there.

But as for both franchises, the standard practice now is to lock someone in for 2-3 movies right away.  We're talking six possible movies.  I just don't see the studios obliging each other.  Especially if one has to delay their movie for the another.

Exactly. He's not on the level of, say, Paris Hilton for Wonder Woman, but it's still a bad idea to cast a celebrity like that in a role that hopefully will require at least some real acting talent.

Be fair.  That could have come from above them....some executive who thinks that Timberlake showed promise in The Love Guru....

Or there's something in the contract he signed for that movie that makes the studio try to put in him something else.

Remember...once some publicity person at Warners put out that Ronald Reagan and Nancy Davis (the future Mrs.) were going to star in Casablanca....and the Reagans are on film saying they never were.

I see Nathan Fillion making a great Hal Jordan.

I think you're absolutely right.  I've always pictured Hal Jordan in his late 30s - early 40s.

I thought he was very good in Blacksnake Moan
