The NEW Transformers 2 thread!

Here's my proposal....

The other Transformers 2 thread has become overrun with debate about whether or not it was a good movie, whether or not it was entertaining, or whether or not Michael Bay is a good director.  However, it is my understanding, that we are all here to make fun of movies - be they good or bad.  I call a truce between all those who can't agree on these points, and suggest that this thread be used for making fun of specific events in the Transformers movie ONLY.

Okay, I'll start (and I apologize for my Seinfeld-like beginning):

What is the deal with the Smithsonian!  As they enter the museum, it sort of looks like it could pass for DC, but when they leave it, they're in the middle of an aircraft boneyard in Kansas!!  Now, I realize that the average person may not be familiar with the topography surrounding the National Mall, but I don't see why Con Air needed its own cameo.  Maybe Michael Bay got confused and thought that he directed that movie too.

I didn't watch the movie, but I support this thread. Less hate, more love-to-hate!

We'll see how long the 'peace and tranquility' will last here.. >:D

That's not what we're discussing.  Take that to the other thread!

Kete wants to be a mod so bad...

I haven't seen the movie either, but the reported Transformer who turns into a human seems to bring up more issues than it's worth. Surely this isn't the only way Bay could get a hot girl in his cast. Which reminds me, is the aussie chick from the first one in this?

The first Transformers show i was exposed to was Beast Wars, so the Deceptinatrix concept wasn't that hard to swallow. I was kinda hoping they'd go all out with this one, throw logic out the window, and give us dino-bots, beast machines, Omega Supreme trying to avoid detection by turning into a space shuttle in a Burger King parking lot, Junkions, etc.

Junkions dancing to Weird Al would have pulled me into a theater seat.

Funny you mention that. The first thought I had watching Transformers was that Bay took "Dare to be stupid" as a personal challenge. I will admit that the sheer ludicrousness of Devastator having balls, well, takes balls. And sounds like it'll be like the one thing I genuinely liked about the first one, the Mountain Dew robot (now why isn't HE in this one? AND WHY CAN"T I BUY A TOY OF HIM, DAMMIT?! I have money, I want to give it to you Hasbro, toy company, now gimme my Mountain Dew robot toy!)

The Aussie Chick is not in it.  She was replaced by a Hispanic guy that tries to out-Shia Shia.

Anthony Anderson was apparently turned into a Transformer, reproduced asexually, and became the Urban Jivebot Twins.

Disregarding the actual quality of the movie, it's one of those where you'd probably bet a week's pay on it being a future Rifftrax.

I want to know what came of the cube shard.  I had the whole movie planned out.  I figured, Optimus Prime dies, they're going to look for that Matrix thing but something will go wrong and suddenly they'll remember that Megan Fox has the shard in her purse and they'll save the day.  When the Matrix crumbled, I KNEW I was right....and my ending makes more sense than Sam dying and visiting robot heaven.  I even remarked to one of my friends in the scene where he tries to get her to go off on her own, "She has to go with him, she has the cube!"

I guess Micheal Bay forgot how important the cube shards were because he got so excited about Optimus Prime battling in the forest. I  admit, I was excited too and I forgot for a minute.  That was an awesome scene, but I did remember eventually.  Poor Micheal Bay.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Why have an old crippled robot WITH A BEARD? And why do the parts from an old, crippled robot make Optimus stronger?

You're being silly!  They used the shard to resurrect Jetfire, so that he could tell them how to resurrect Optimus......wait a minute!

Indeed. They don't grow beards so are they just obligated to wielding beard parts on their face when they get old or what?
