Actually, I might actually buy that DVD...seriously- this from a person who bought Overdrawn at the Memory Bank for $0.99- what if its a collectors someday, like having RHPS autographed by Richard O'Brien...thoughts?

Well, I wouldn't say it was terrible, but I thought it was one of the weakest ones they've done in a while.  I enjoyed The Room a whole lot more sans Rifftrax.  Some of it was do to the Disembodio bits, which were more annoying than the Breast Blimp from CT. I guess they felt they had to try something to distract from the sex scenes,  :gouge: but honestly those are some of the funniest things in the non-rifftraxed version, and there could have been a lot funnier riffs than a lame, obnoxious running gag that the sex scenes ruin the lives of everybody that Dis brings to watch.  But his computer voice is so sphincter-puckeringly grating no matter how you slice it and having a whole bunch if Dis's yell over each other is more painful than watching Tommy Wiseau's misshapen bobbing man-ass. But if you wanted to distract people from the sex scenes, it sure did that.  It just wasn't funny. At all. But I think that maybe this is proof  of the idea that the guys shouldn't riff comedies, even if the movie is unintentionally funny (Although the Transformers riff is genius, and that movie's supposed to be funny, apparently.  I mean Bernie Mac's mammy gives him the finger.  Comedy gold! ).  I Still love the guys, and I'll keep being a loyal customer, but I wasn't that impressed this time around.

I believe it stands for "Gangsta Flautist. Yeah!"

I love how THE ROOM has inspired a Courtney renaissance on this board, and in general.

The Room is truly inspiring.  It's a lot like Tuesdays With Morrie.

Granted, I have not seen this, but, stop hating on the Disembaudio bits.  He is the best out of the bunch.  He can only make a riff better.

No way!  A movie that is so bad it's laughable is the perfect fodder, it all depends on how seriously the movie takes itself.

I haven't seen The Room yet, but I understand it thinks it's a real movie.
FINE

I thought this one sorta sucked too. Not just the DE stuff during the super sexy scenes, but it just wasn't one of my favorites overall. Actually I think they were upstaged by the hysterical movie itself. I kept wishing they'd stop talking over Johnny so I could hear every strangely accented word he said. My problem might have been that I had never seen this film before and I should have. My daughter is the same way with Troll 2. She loves laughing at the movie so much that the riffs almost get in the way. One thing seemed odd is that they didn't seem to point out enough that a character was played by a completely different actor 2/3 through the movie. They said something like "who are you?". But it was so obvious he was reading lines for the 3rd friend psychologist guy with the glasses, but it was a new actor playing the part! Some tngs are so funny and strange they almost need to stop the tape. Maybe I've been watching too much "Cheap Seats" lately. (on that note, has everyone seen the Cheap Seats cameo by the MST3K crew? Classic)

So, oddly enough, I am very grateful that they brought this movie to my attention despite the weak riffs. I don't know how I missed it. I think I have said "Oh, Hi Daaawg" to my pet about 100 times in the last 2 days.

As long as "Sphincter Pucker" is your first album title, have at it my good man!

Wow, five pages of response to an obvious troll? Have we learned nothing in three years?

Well, if You were around more often, we'd be a Happier Bunch! ;D

AmazingThor

This is obviously a thinly-disguised Christian Bale who is still angry that they dared to riff the Dark Knight. I thought the "good for you" was a dead give away.

You know, before getting some context in this thread, I thought GFY stood for "Good for you" I'd make a horrible online motivational speaker.

"You just came up with a great idea! GFY!"
