Well me and Tyrant have midnight tickets tonight and we intend to see it unironically. (Not ALL of us TF fans hated the first one!) We'll be sure to post our uniquely biased review sometime soon for those on the fence. :^)

They normally stream live from the studio, but they were at the Edinburgh film festial this week and had a live studio audience in.  They usually post them on Youtube, but they haven't done it yet.  The BBC website might point you in the right direction.

Might this be the review you were talking about?

Well, I'd see it if I could get in for free. I just refuse to pay for uninspired movies anymore. At least the cartoon series (All of them to some degree.) at least tried to come up with easy to follow plotlines.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

There we go.  I'm subscribed to the official channel on Youtube, so I never thought to look anywhere else. :)

Wow, he seems to really hate this movie. I don't know. I think it might have cheesy entertainment value. I know that the one battle I'm looking forward to, and apparently the only bright spot in the movie according to critics, is Optimus battling 3 Decepticons all by himself.

I love Ebert's review. It starts:
Quote
... a horrible experience of unbearable length,

And he suggests "If you want to save yourself the ticket price, go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination."

Hilarious. Maybe we should get him to guest riff on it when it comes out?

Is he able to talk properly now? He's good on "normal" commentaries.

I wish he would re-review the first one. I haven't been able to respect him as much as I used to since he gave that piece of trash and others like it a pass. I assume he was on painkillers, but still...

Doctor Who?

I love the end of the review "It's the biggest something of all time".

If it does become the biggest movie of all time I will kill some puppies.

Did someone say "puppies"?

Just got back from it and I liked it a lot. I'll go into more detail after I get some sleep and after more people have seen it, but my quick impression:

If you liked the first, you'll love this one. If you hated the first, this one won't change your mind.

If you enjoyed watching Transformers fight, Bay's got you covered. If you wanted more interplay between humans and Transformers, Bay's got you covered. If you wanted more Transformers in your Transformers movie, Bay's got you covered. And if you absolutely loved watching Bumblebee urinate on a guy, well, Bay's got you covered there too. It's more of everything, and if you have the stamina for it and an open mind, it's quite a ride.

You're biased anyway so we expected a positive opinion, nothing new there.

Of course he's got you covered, it's 2 hours and 20 minutes long.  :)

Unfortunately what Bay covers you with is nothing but slag.

Actually, the vast majority of TF fans I know loved the first movie.

Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
