Friend of mine just saw it.  He said it was a ton better than the first, and actually quite good in the bargain.  I don't believe him, of course.  :)

Which one? Transformers 2 or Transmorphers 2?

It should say on the DVD cover, "...actually quite good in the bargain." - Some Crackhead

So...anyone else hoping this movie's Riff Trax will be better than the first?

Reading this quote from a review should be tantalizing fodder for the guys:

Times have changed: The students' frat parties now rake place as sleazy discos and strip clubs.  On Sam's first night out, he's seduced by a Decepticon posing as a seductive fresh student.  A lap dance leads to a near consummation, when the door opens and girlfriend Mikaella shows up, unexpectedly.

A Decepticon posing as a horny, very human, college tramp!? All of a sudden a planet where everyone communicates by singing doesn't sound so cheesy.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Doctor Who?

Oh my gosh!

To think this movie is expected to be the biggest movie of the summer.

I am going to have a good cry now.

Okay, so Mark Kermode tore it a new one is his very funny, angry rant on his podcast this past friday.  Something along the lines of "morally reprehensible" in the way that women are leered over in the movie.  :)

I guess Bay really took the cliche that sequels have to be bigger, louder than the first movie to heart. I'm guessing that this movie will be a big hit not because of people who really liked the first one (I'm not included in that bunch as you all well know.) but because of people curious to know how how entertainingly cheesy it really is.

They normally stream live from the studio, but they were at the Edinburgh film festial this week and had a live studio audience in.  They usually post them on Youtube, but they haven't done it yet.  The BBC website might point you in the right direction.
