So, had you been a boy would you middle name have been Savion? ;)

You know, my mother's most prized possesion is a pair of tap shoes signed by both Savion Glover and Gregory Hines.

THE QUEEN!!!

This is an old thread, but better than starting my own (I was thinking we needed a thread like this). I hope y'all who haven't posted will post now that you remember this thread exists.

Anyway, my screen name doesn't refer to the band Queen or drag queens or the Queen of Hearts ("Off with her head!") It comes from my favorite MST3K episode (which is also the 1st one I ever saw), The Pumaman. At one point The Pumaman visits a little guy in a little firetruck. When the Pumaman walks out of the moving firetruck ("He is the pumaman! He can exit a car going 5 miles an hour!"), the little fireman looks foreward and panics and slams on his breaks. the riff that Mike Nelson says on it is "THE QUEEN!!!" My best friend and I used to simply text "THE QUEEN!!!" to each other because it cracked us up so much.

TeamRAD

Wow, I never saw this thread...

"Just out of curiosity with new and old posters, what does your name on the boards mean?"

The movie, RAD, is one of my all-time favorite things in life, and the movie captures a lot of who I am. I prefaced it w/ Team, b/c of my selfless nature (it's never about me) in conjunction w/ my love of everything in the movie. So abracadabra...TeamRAD.

Yeah quite an old thread but a good one to read. Mine is simple my initial and an important date in my lfe  ;D

Some people are very creative in making user names.

anais.jude

i have explained this before, but here goes. It's all literary. Anais is from Anais Nin and Jude is from Jude the obscure by thomas hardy. I have had this name or variations of it for almost ten years.

man i'm old

Darth Geek

My name, Darth Geek, is a representation of why I can't get laid.

bettertomorrowamy

I think it has more to do with the fact that you like "Full House".

King Pest the First, by Poe, is one of my favorite short stories.  I think I was reading it when I joined, too.
Towel, please.

FatherOfTears

My user name is a gender switch of a recent Dario Argento movie that was called "Mother of Tears":

I started using it on YouTube back in March 2008 and I have since used it on other boards as well.
If you are going to say something dirty, say it clearly.

Invisible NanoGhost

I've gone by several names on various mst3k-related forums:

NanoBots -- About ten years ago I wanted a nickname to use when playing networked games, and I picked this from the name of the very little robots that the Satellite of Love had.  What's that you say?  You don't remember any nanobots?  Well, it turns out my memory was simply wrong at the time.  I thought the Nanites were called Nanobots...

Mystery Rifftrax Cinema Crew-Kay -- meant as a combination of "Mystery Science Theater", "Rifftrax", "Cinematic Titanic", and "Film Crew".  Hysterically clever, but too unwieldy and I kept forgetting what the correct order was.  I always have to re-count how many syllables are in each word to remember what the right order is ("Crew-Kay" is supposed to match "3K").  I've spelled it different ways, too.  I think I used it for a week or two before I gave up on it.

NanoRiffite -- "Nanite" with "oRiff" in the middle.  Intended as a more rifftrax-ish name.

Invisible NanoGhost -- A combination of my Nano-themed nicknames, plus the title of an album by the Police ("The Ghost in the Machine"), plus the first song heard off that album ("Invisible Sun").  There was a short time where "Invisible Sun" was my nickname here on campus, and a much longer time where "Ghost in the Machine" was the most popular nickname for me.  Lots of students knew me from various computer-related contexts (email, chat systems), but very few had met me in person.  At the time, there were situations where I could sit at a table of 20 students, they'd be talking about various things I had said in emails or on various chat systems, with no one realizing that I was sitting right there with them!

LucasM

"LucasM", Lucas being my cat's name (same cat as is my avatar).  The 'M' at the end is because that's the initial for my last name, and because it gives an interesting sound/feeling to the name, like it is a "Luke-chasm" (or a "Luc-gasm"  ;) ).

[EDIT:  Previously there was an extended description of a new name I tried briefly (and wasn't pleased with) here.
This comment is itself to explain RVR II's reaction in the next post so his reaction doesn't look odd.]

Wholy Crap! All That in a Name?! :speechless:

 :D

Well, I suppose it was a bit - um - hermeneutic of me to describe it in such detail.  ;D

Second or Third Edit:  I deleted most of the original post that RVRII reacted to... partly because it was WAY too long, and because, after a bit of seeing the new name [Herman Neutic] with my posts I realized I wasn't comfortable with it, and I didn't even recognize my own friggin' name!  So I went back to LucasM.

As Emily Latella used to say...

"Oh!...   ...   ...Nevermind!"

Drusilla

Well mines not that interesting... Drusilla is my favorite Buffy character, in fact all my friends call me Dru, what shocked me was the first time I was called Dru I answered to it.

Other ones I have had are:

Nightmare_Drusilla: Again Drusilla is my favorite BTVS character, and adding nightmare was just so I could get the email address that I wanted. Also my mother used to introduce me and my sister as "Night and Day"... guess which one I was...

Pestilence: A nickname I earned in high school after EVERY computer disk I ever had became coruppted... viral infection or not.

Demigod.Dragoness: from a novel I'm working on... long story, but I like it.
