I thought the Canadian segment was a riot, as was the magneto/cerebro thing. The bald jokes though...those have always been lame.

You're right, I hate to admit it, but making fun of Canada....never really gets old (even for most Canadians I know) ;D

You guys are just jealous that we are taking over Hollywood:

They forgot two very important Canadian actors on that list: Nathan Fillion and Jewel Staite (both of Firefly)   SHAME ON THEM!!!!

Wasn't "Space Mutiny" Canadian? If so, game over man...game over

I believe that one came from South Africa.

IronPigeon

James Doohan was Canadian?  ???  I thought he was...I dunno...scottish, maybe?

Wow, I stand corrected...apparently EVERYthing about South Africa was evil before the mid-90's...

Weedwacker

No way, I LOVE it when they talk about recent celeb drunk-drivers.
"Paul Reiser?  This IS a horror movie!"

IronPigeon

I have to say...I kind of liked the bald jokes in Daredevil.  Guess they're only lame 98 percent of the time.

Space Mutiny was all filmed in South Africa. Part was in a...warehouse, I think. It was the reason for all the brick and such in a 'spaceship'. Great planning, that. And the office-bridge, that was great.

Yeah, Space Mutiny is still my favorite MST episode; it's stupid in such a funny way. I mean, by no means is it the worst movie they did, but perhaps the worst "bearable" movie, at least IMO

sarcasm_made_Easy

Another Space Mutiny fan here. I've probably watched this more than The Final Sacrifice. Lots of recurring jokes there but they aren't annoying, like the "Big McLargeHuge; Buff DrinkLots; Fist Ironstag; Crud Bonemeal; etc."

I never cared for "Attica!" though. That always annoyed me for some reason.

macleod

Haha...well, I agree, but the line from that which I still use today when watching action movies:

"They rented a pneumatic catapult, and damnit, they're gonna use it"

Shaggy

Or "My Buns of Steel videos are in there!"  :D

Man, I could quote from Space Mutiny all day. But I'm sure there's a thread for that somewhere else.

If not, there should be

You inspired me. Check out the board games page.

I liked the recurring gag in Gunslinger about the guy's room being in the hall.

I loved the "Chief?  McCloud?" gag and the "Huzzah!" gags in Pod People as well.  Especially the final payoff from Servo:  "His last words were: Huzzah!"

I also loved it any time they'd make a Monty Python or Fawlty Towers reference.  And the more obscure the reference, the better.  Like in I Accuse My Parents, during one of the musical numbers, one of the waiters comes up to the girl and gapes at her with a stupid expression on his face, bearing a slight resemblence to Manuel from Fawlty Towers, and Crow says in his best Manuel voice "Is difficult!"
CROW:  (Sinisterly) The Secret Government Eggo Project...
--Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie

"Jason, Chess is a game of chance."
-- My friend Shawn to my friend Jason upon being defeated at a game of Chess.
