I always liked the recurring "Tonight, on a very special ______ "   :D
"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son"
-Dean Wormer, Animal House R.I.P.

I sometimes get irked by repeated un-funny jokes (like the "cerebro/magneto" thing), but them sometimes they're great, like the whole "get off my plane" spoofs on Firewall...

IronPigeon

I thought the Canadian segment was a riot, as was the magneto/cerebro thing. The bald jokes though...those have always been lame.

You're right, I hate to admit it, but making fun of Canada....never really gets old (even for most Canadians I know) ;D

Now if you'd just admit responsibility for those atrocious sci fi channel movies.

"Atrocious"?   Sir, how dare you sully the reputation of fine films like "Skeeter", "Frankenfish", "Gryphon" and "SS Doom Trooper".

...I quite liked Frankenfish.  It was like Tremors, only on the water.  And it featured the very hot KD Aubert, or as I know her: The Black Angelina Jolie.

Wasn't "Space Mutiny" Canadian? If so, game over man...game over

I'll admit that we don't make good movies or tv shows. But man, did you even look at that list I posted?
We send all our half decent talent to the US.
And maybe thats why we suck at movies/tv...'cause all of our good show biz folks are working in the south  ;)

Sharktopus

The reason so many crap TV shows and movies come from Canada is simply beacuse it's cheaper to produce the there. There are also plenty of quality shows and movies produced in the Great White North. Like The X-Files, and, um, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter. I'm sure there are more, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Holy poop, you're right!

Wow...that's almost scary...

But honestly, I think about the MST3K Canada Song, and well *sniff* it's touching...

gammer

That is scary!

Sharky, you should post that in the Seperated @ Birth thread...if you haven't done so already.

IronPigeon

I have a mutant power.  It's the ability to sense whether or not a movie/tv show was made in canada. So far I've only used my powers for personal reasons...

That didn't even occur to me. I'm such an idiot...
