Riff This! Official Photo Caption Contest!

So what do you guys think? More caption contests in the future? I thought it was pretty fun.

I think photo riffing is a better game than 20Q for a variety of reasons:

1) No repetition of questions through each game "Was this movie made after 2000?".. etc ..

2) There's no hassle in timing your question-post just right to win a competition with other posters to make your question the one that gets responded to. Everyone's riff of the photo simply gets viewed in order, up to the alloted time or other stopping point for the game.

3) Riffing photos fits with the theme of Rifftrax riffing movies, but 20Q is just 20Q.

4) Instead of just a game, it's also comedy everyone can enjoy in a more relaxed way and not get so worked up over.

In short: I recommend dropping 20Q in favor of Photo Riffing (you could even say it fits with the theme of "Change" that America is supposed to be going through with a new Pres. and all. Out with the old, in with the new! ).

OR... Perhaps both?   A 20Qs to guess the film, THEN a photo caption game for an extra prize?   Hmmmm....

Just throwing in my support for this, seems like an excellent idea.

I don't think we should drop the 20Qs entirely. I like them for figuring out the movie (or guest. When are you going to have one of those again? Trace, please.).

What if we did a 20Q for the movie, and had a photo riff after. The winner get a free rifftrax, and the joke is used in the Rifftrax. What do you think, sirs?

I vote for no questions, and tell us what the hell is planned for the month so we can order rentals or buy DVDs online and have them arrive by the time the riff is released. Plus, it makes more sense to get a free riff for riffing a picture than it does for guessing what the movie will be. It's a riffing site, not a guessing site.

The re-riff schedule is a step in the right direction.

That said, you should bake delicious cookies instead.

Problem is, by the time 20Q's rolls around, the riff is already recorded. That's not always the case but it would make including the person's "riff" harder. Plus, the nice thing is you're riffing a still image - which might mean that it's something whicih goes by so quickly in the movie that it's impossible to riff it. That's actually the case with this JAWS game - the "Bruce jumping into the boat" shot lasted about half a second. Not really much you can do there...

20 questions games have always been about a week in advance of the actual release (sometimes more). If you can't muster up the strength to go to your local Wal*Mart or Lackluster Video and pick up the DVD (or mail back your copy of The Happening to NetFlix) between those two days, then I don't know what to tell ya. Even shipping things from Amazon tends to take only a few days.
