My Fair Lady, either of the songs Eliza's father sings.  They're not necessarily bad songs, and he performs them well, they just go on too darn long and they make the film drag.

I do enjoy "Get Me To The Church On Time", but I agree that most of Eliza's father's subplot is superfluous. And this in a movie that opens with a six-hour-long shot of flowers. :P

Doctor Who?

The witches singing almost ruined Macbeth for me.

Found out latter that most people don't think that Shakespear wrote that section.

I really don't think much of the musical numbers in any of the Marx Brothers films except Duck Soup.  Well, Chico and Harpo's solos are good, but otherwise...  The one that stands out, though, is the Cocoanuts.  What makes that so painful is that the songs were written by Irving Berlin.  Arguably one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, and his idea for a hit song is "Monkey Doodle Do"?  The song about the shirt is funny, but it seems bizarre and out of place.  (Which, considering it's a Marx Brothers movie, is really saying something.)

What ruins The Cocoanuts is that it's 15 minutes before a Marx Brother is even on screen. All for the sake of, "look, it's a TALKIE!" Animal Crackers is that way as well, but at least Animal Crackers has a story for the first 15 minutes, and an impressive set. I pretty much skip any non-Marx musical numbers. The ones in At the Circus are particularly grating.

I've never understood why they felt the need to center the films around people other than the Marx Brothers.  People didn't line up around the block to see Bland Couple: The Movie.  They were specifically there to see the Marx Brothers.
'No one does it to you like Roman Polanski' - The Tenant

Doctor Who?

I think the studios just wanted a placed to dump a bunch of bland song that they happened to own the rights to.

Also i don't think anyone in the studios really "got" The Marx Brothers.

I tend to fast forward past the music too.

It always got on my nerves as a kid I just wanted to see The Marx Brothers and they were making me sit through a subplot I didn't care about.

Doctor Who?

I have to say the king of all movies ruined by music is Spiderman 3,it wouldn't have been nearly as good as the first two with out the music numbers but it would have been watcheble but with the music it becomes a movie I will only ever watch with the rifftrack.

With the exception of "Times they are a changing"  I thought most of the songs in Watchman was annoying and yes I know that they were in the book but they were always in the background.
I am not above projectile vomiting to get my way

Don't remember hiim. Was watching the FX Channel's Spiderman 2.1...maybe they took him out?

The Asian woman just got to me because of her high pitch.  Like nails on a blackboard.

Yeah, the song they added back in to Bedknobs and Broomsticks is like that too.

What about the 20 minute version of Portabello Road?

....and I always liked "Wif A Little Bit Of Luck".

I think the Owen Wilson guy I think is from Spiderman 1, "He looks like a spider, acts like a bug. Lets all give him, one big hug."
Yes, the Asian woman in Spiderman 2 is also annoying.

I'll make this one preemptive:
When they make an inevitable Family Guy movie, the inevitable song between Brian and Stewie that they will include.

I have enjoyed some of these songs in the TV show, but it feels like the only reason why Seth puts them in is an attempt to get nominated for an Emmy.....and I guarantee that he'll get nominated for an Oscar when he does it.

Yes, Seth, you're not a half bad singer.  Yes, Seth, you're funny.  But can't we just skip to the parts where we treat Meg like crap?
