You can mount a missle launcher or machine gun on just about anything.  How many of the M.A.S.K. vehicles can travel through time?  Consider yourself, pwnnd.

Can't you also install a Flux Capacitor on anything aswell?

I just realized that the train at the end of Back To The Future part III is very literally a steampunk time machine.  Does that mean BTTF3 is technically a steampunk movie?

Not really, it has the appearance of steam punk but the flux capacitor is still very much a high tech device. Had the flux capacitor been replicated using gears and fly wheels then it would have genuinely been steam punk.

Didn't he make a new flux capacitor from 1885 parts? I'm pretty sure he did. The flying part was outfited in the future though.

I think 1885 is too modern to be steampunk. It's not Victorian, just a steam engine.

Things are Victorian until 1901, but if that's the case about the flux capacitor then maybe, I'll have to watch that again to see.

Plus the Japanese have a love for the American west around that time.   They've set several of their more steampunky things in the time after the Civil War or in some far off future that resembles that period.
