Natureboy

this Rifftrax was extremelyly funny.  I blasted X-Men, but I think this effort more then makes up for the X-Men effort.  As unfunny as X-Men was, Top Gun was super funny.

Rufus T

Well I've hated Top Gun for a very long time now. To hear Mike and Bill riff on it was a dream come true. I thought it was very funny. Not quite up to par with STV, Crossroads or Roadhouse. But still very funny indeed.
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

Gamera

We had some friends over last night for a Rifftrax/MST double feature: Top Gun and Monster-A-Go-Go. I broke two ribs from laughing so hard. Good times.

as an air force member im kinda sad that the crazy infatuation with planes is dying a little bit.  it means we get less of a budget ;)

LadyKenobi

Thank you for your service, sarc.

(and no, I'm not being sarcastic myself, here.)

thanks.  i do appreciate that, but someone has to do it.  always figured that someone really should be me.

Cibernético II

the movie was practically parodying itself with all the wierd unneccessary musical chimes ins. Not to mention Tom Cruises unstoppable short man conquering of the whole world. It did make me more nostalgic for Hot Shots! than it made me nostalgic for the 80's.

Good show gents. Very well done.
I really do like pie.

TOR

Tor like movie.Laugh ass off every night for three nights in a row. Tor's first movie. Rate 9 out of ate. Would have got Roadhose but Fry's not carry.

Just saw this (yes, I am way behind with my RiffTrax), and I just have to say, A POX UPON THEE, MR. NELSON! I had "Take My Breath Away" running through my brain for HALF A DAY! Geez!  :o

There, I feel better.

Earworms aside, this one was great. For some reason Mike's "Jimmy Two-Times" bit made me go completely hysterical. Not sure why, just something in the way he said it . . .  ;D
"There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal." C. S. Lewis

Bring back Bridget!

Hellcat

I loved this RiffTrax.  Mike and Bill worked together beautifully.  I enjoyed the "highway to the danger zone" running gag, and I cracked up when they made fun of the pilots' nicknames.  And of course there were the Scientology riffs.  Very funny.

Sheez, I finally got around to watching this; I've been avoiding it because a) Tom Cruise and b) macho testosterone movie with loud, fast machines.  Yuck.  But, happy surprise!  It's mostly half-naked men flirting and groping each other.  (I enjoyed that part, even without Mike & Bill).  Gay volleyball!  LOVE IT!  But the best riffs were during that hideously grotesque make-out scene.  "Take my lunch awaaaaay...." indeed!  Sad about the ending, though; I was hoping Tom Cruise would end up with Val Kilmer.

Bob

I watched this on Friday with a friend of mine who is a severe fanboy of the movie Topgun.   He can almost quote the movie line for line.   I hate the movie with a blinding passion and I think it is one of the dumbest movies of all time (so, there is an entire aircraft carrier full of planes and they can only send out TWO !?!?!? fighters).   We both were rolling during this one.   The riffs when they started humming the Berlin song periodically were a riot.   The Pee Wee Herman "what, I can't hear you" line was a classic.

A really strong effort.

And let's be honest, after a very long time with no new MST3K, I will like even a mediocre rifftrax.   This is a great time, new Rifftrax, the promise of new Film Crew DVDs..... I could not be happier.

I made the mistake of watching this one pretty much back-to-back with Cocktail. Total toothy grin overload. Anyways, I thought this was decent but I came away liking Cocktail more. I'll have to watch it again sometime soon for a fresh perspective. I think the Cruise/Scientology jokes just didn't hit on the heels of Cocktail. There were some great lines, (Cougar/Roar got me everytime) but overall I was a little disappointed with this one. I still thought it was funny, but maybe not all that it could have been. Until it gets a rewatch, this one is a middle of the road performer in comparison to the likes of Road House or STV.

"Which one of them is goddamnit again?" - Best line on the whole track imho. Bill Corbett is a genius.

Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

I really do not remember this film being so horriffic when I saw it when I was 11.
