Doctor Who?

First off three other people agreed with me that you can't tell what was going on and your the only one who thinks the movie was well shot.

Noone was agreeing with you and that is when you started telling people to shut up and seeing as you don't own the forum I don't see why me or anyone else should have to.

Also when did I misquote other with the sarcastic greatest movie of all time thing?

Also you have yet to live by the rule that you made all on your own,how am I stoping you from movie on.

Again I am not the one who is saying people need to stop talking about Transformer you are and so far you will not live by your own rule.

I refuse to live by rules set by someone who doesn't live by them himself.

You want to know when you've misquoted me?  I'll be happy to list every instance.  Starting with the most recent:

I never said I thought the movie was well shot.  I said I liked it for what it is.  Other than that, I never specified anything in particular about the movie.

You keep saying that you have a right to shut up people for not having your opinion and then you act shocked when they don't like that.

I never said I want to "shut up" people for disagreeing with me.  I said that because this discussion is getting out of hand, I think we ought to end it.

Quote from: Doctor Who? on January 25, 2009, 04:14:33 PM
Yes but that's my point it is only good in his opinion but he is saying that I have no right to say that it was bad because he liked it,in other words he is claiming to speak for the whole world.

I did not say anything remotely like that.  I have always said that the concept of Transformers is not that complex and that the movie does in fact portray that concept, providing photographic evidence of that fact.  You disagreed in an ignorant fashion, so I called you on it.  It's that simple.

Quote from: Doctor Who? on January 25, 2009, 02:07:35 PM
Again you are trying to tell me what I can and cann't say,you are saying that if I am not going to say how great transformers was that I should have to shut up.

Also you are acting like you speak for the whole planet and anyon who doesn't like what you like is just a stupid nerd who shouldn't be allowed out in public with out you controlling everything they do.

I looked at the post this was responding to and failed to find any place where I was telling you what you can and can't say.  I did imply that people might not be willing to listen to what you say, but that's not the same thing.  And the fact is that no matter what you say, a lot more people liked the movie than disliked it.  You claim in another post that people didn't actually like it, that instead they were "tricked" into seeing it because the commercials made it out to be something other than what you think it was.  If that was the case, then it probably would have tanked after opening weekend.  But unless I'm completely wrong, and it would not be the first time, Transformers did fairly well throughout the summer, meaning people must have actually LIKED it.

So in other words you think you are better then us and should be allwoed to tell us all what we can think and do,nice.

That was not what I said and that is obviously not what I meant.  I was commenting on the ridiculousness of the discussion and the fact that we are even having the discussion over a year after the film was released.  You chose to take it as a personal attack.  That was not my intent.

Are you satisfied?  If you are, then I will agree to let this be my last word on the subject if you agree to let your response be your last word.  The only reason I wish this subject to be closed is because I think both of us have let this discussion get out of hand, and would be happy to shake hands and say we both made some good arguments, but given that it is unlikely that either of us is going to convince the other that his side is right, it's pointless to fight about it.

Doctor Who?

First off you are insaulting me in that post not the best way to shake hands and make up.

Second actions speak louder then words and the monent I refused to agree with you you started pulling all this "I started the thread and I am tell you you can't say that" junk.  Sorry but you were the only one who said that people HAVE to stop talking about transformers that is call trying to shut people up.

Also even in that replay you contnue to act like the way you view the movie is the only way and that I am just stupid and trying to pick a fight, when all i did was not like a movie that you like.

But in the interest of peace on this forum I will cease to call you out for it.

But if someone else wants to talk about Transformers you can't stop me I would just sugest that you choose not to read my posts about Transformer since what I think about that movie seems to matter so much to you.

Good morning.

Okay, my real last word.  I'll grant you that it's possible that the reason the movie has been so successful might not be because people actually sincerely liked it.  Maybe the vast majority of people enjoy it on a totally ironic level.  Maybe they continue to pay money for it so they can laugh AT it.  Like Rocky Horror, or Manos, or Plan 9 From Outer Space.  That is entirely within the realm of possibility.

I think people like it because they can look at megan fox.

Didn't that stupid chihuahua movie do well at the box office too?  How come nobody is arguing how great that is?

Well, that probably helped.  No one would go see a movie they hated if it didn't have good-looking women in it.  Well, most guys wouldn't, anyway.  And quite a few women, too.

I don't know, she's a bit ten-a-penny really, nobody in that film is really all that pretty.

That at least is in character for her role in that film I suppose :)

I think the key thing to consider here is this, no matter what anyone's opinion of a movie is, is it really worth getting pissed off over?

That's exactly the kind of thing Hitler would say.

So very true. Oh... and just to make myself clear. I don't think she really that pretty. This is just what everyone else tells me.

Darth Geek

I think Megan Fox is very sexy. But I do not consider having a sexy actress in a Hollywood movie to be an accomplishment. Finding an attractive actress in Hollywood is like going to the beach and finding sand (and their both silicone based).
