Well, one couldn't tell from seeing all the dust and cobwebs inside your skull, not to mention that little rat banging against the side screaming "HELP ME!!!"

Quote from: Isaac on January 22, 2009, 04:51:00 PMWhat kind of horror movies do you like?

Quote from: dalem on January 23, 2009, 06:12:12 PMActually, I mainly don't.

Well, that's kind of my point.

Ahh, so if I liked horror movies more as a genre my opinion about whether one is goodish or baddish would be (more) relevant?  What about opinion based on purely technical and non-genre-specific criteria?  Say editing, or score, or lighting, or script?

To take it further, are you implying that my mother cannot know whether Space Mutiny is a bad movie or not because she doesn't know jack sh*t about science fiction?

Kid, go out and play. And in the future, please try not to ask people for advice, and then respond by insulting them and expecting no ramifications.

What I was trying to say was that, from a technical and storytelling perspective, Herschell Gordon Lewis' horror films are not "really bad", as opposed to what generally fits the definition of bad. They are certainly above the level of the majority of films suggested here.

If you have no fear for your soul and sanity, I suggest watching the Sci-Fi Channel on weekends. You'll see things that'll make you question the meaning of your existence.

Ah, I see.  Well that certainly makes sense.
