Okay, obviously you guys are absolutely 100% correct.  Your flat out denial of something which could be easily proven has convinced me.  Perhaps I would have been more steadfast in my argument if only there were some way of digitally capturing still images from films, so I could have done so and presented an image which would back up my argument.  But until such technology becomes available, my argument looks extremely foolish and is therefore without merit, so I must believe your side.

...Oh wait, that technology does exist!  Here you go:

... holy crap! You found the only slightly-not-blurred action shot in the film! Good job!

Thanks, daltysmilth, for demonstrating exactly what I was talking about regarding the WAY overcomplicated designs. I think those four things are fingers, but what is the rest of the grey thing? Is it Megatron? It could be one of the other Decepticons because several of them had similar silver/steel/grey schemes to them. Even if it is, in that picture I can't tell what part of him it is. Also, I know that's Optimus' head only because I knew what he looked like before. The rest is unrecognizable. This is a mess, and that is in a still photo, it was far worse in motion.

I have to correct you Darth Geek. It's optimus because of the flames! Everyone knows he had flames in the original series...

Just one of the little touches from the director we all know and love. He should have gave optimus nipples to finish off the look.

QuoteDon't forget it had John Voigt embarrassing himself for his grandchildren.
Uh... what grandchildren? The adopted ones who don't speak English, wondering why the lady with the big lips took them away from their countries? The ones who couldn't care less about toy robot movies and don't know who Jon Voight is? Or does he have other grandchildren I'm not aware of?

Tonight I overheard a guy leaving 'Day the Earth Stood Still' say the following:
'It said the day the earth stood still, but it didn't.  When did the earth stand still?'
'No one does it to you like Roman Polanski' - The Tenant

I have no idea what I am looking at.

In all fairness your last post did seem quite condescending. What did you expect?

Chill man.... chill.

daltysmilth

I'm being condescending because we're talking about A FREAKING MOVIE BASED ON A CARTOON ABOUT GIANT ROBOTS!!!  The fact that it's over a year later and people still can't seem to get over how it didn't live up to their expectations is a sad, sad state of affairs.

.... oh boy... I have bad news for you...

A sequel is coming out this summer! This subject is probably going to go on a lot longer.

Anyways, I'm going to pop in the movie and take a look at those robot things you say are in the movie.

Peace out!

Doctor Who?

So in other words you think you are better then us and should be allwoed to tell us all what we can think and do,nice.

Sorry but transformers was not the greatest movies of all time and even if it wasn't based on a toy it would have still been a verry bad movie.

Beastwars was a great transformers cartoon with good writing and action were you could tell what was going on,Bay really should have watched it before making his CGI Headaches.

I mean it I get a headache watching transformers.

bratpop

I thought it was equally as stupid as the toys and the cartoon and their premise. Or... the lack of one, which is why they tried to make up an origin in the movie that didn't end up making any sense. So I don't know what fans are complaining about. Everyone else, on the other hand, should have just seen it as a terrible movie.

Fine.  Feel free to not watch it.  If you don't think it's worth your time, why should you spend any money or time on it?  Me on the other hand, I'll go see it and enjoy it for what it is.

Okay, someone tell me when I have ever said that Transformers is the greatest movie of all time.  Seriously, if someone can find a post where I actually said that, then I will readily admit that I am the hugest moron on the planet and should not be allowed to express opinions on movies.  I have been saying all along that it's a movie based on a cartoon with a pretty ridiculous and shallow premise.  The fact that people expected anything of it other than being a big, dumb summer movie with lots of explosions is the only thing that bothers me.  And it was that.  As I see it, the main problem people have with it was that it wasn't the big, dumb summer movie with lots of explosions that they think they wanted.  Boo hoo.  The fact that they are making a sequel seems to indicate that the majority of people disagree with your opinion, and if you can't deal with that, then that's your problem.  I'm not telling you what to think, I'm telling you what the rest of us think.

And again, if you don't want to see Transformers 2, if you think it's a complete waste of time, no one is going to force you to see it.  And if you do see it, no one is going to force you to like it.  But if you don't like it, don't expect the people that do to put up with your whining about how it got everything "wrong".
