Sadly, I feel that Ben Affleck's Daredevil performance is his best. He should do more roles like that and stop doing serious roles (Not that Comic book fans don't take their movies seriously. I understand that 100%!)
I mean, he should do more fun roles.
Guilty pleasure (to some): I also enjoyed Armageddon.

Nice Mama's Family Reference, By the Way. What wereTHEYthinking?

I thought Affleck was terrific in "Chasing Amy".   Maybe he should let Kevin Smith write all his parts.

I hate to be rude and just take off but my login time ends in a few moments. Plus I live on the East Coast and have to get to Target before it closes. Is there a projected date for this Daredevil release?
And I just realized that I never stated how excited I am to hear Mike, Bill, and Kevin united again (Which I AM!). It would be remarkably stupid of me to leave that out, considering this my first post and I don't want people to hate me.  :'(

I've seen Jersey Girl on TBS a few times. I did think that was pretty good. You might be on to something with this Kevin Smith Theory (R).

Well. Ben Affleck, like other beloved Icons such as Clooney or Costner, can be great, so long as for their part they play a complete tool...it makes the method acting much more natural.

Thanks, I've been scouring this forum for days trying to figure it out. Out of curiousity, what board would I find that sort of info on?
I know I'm in the minority when I say this, but I like Daredevil. But I also like Fellowship of the Ring. Ever since I first starting watching MST3K It's hard not to riff on even the best movies.
Thanks again

By the By: Matt Murdock's identity being revealed to almost everyone on Earth was stupid. I don't care how genuine the people are, it would get out.

Scenario: Ben Urich gets absolutely plastered and starts bragging to his friends
QuoteGuys *Hic* Seriously, Daredevil is a blind guy named Matt *hurls on his friends*

It's just like the scene after the train fight in Spiderman 2. (Like those kids would never tell anyone)

To be fair, Ben Urich has known that Matt is Daredevil for over 20 years (our time) in the comics, and never told anyone. Of course, Ben has been established for nearly 30 years (our time) as a well-respected, trustworthy person. Movie Ben Urich, on the other hand is a tea shade-wearing wiseass played by Joey Pants, who I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw. Joey Pants - just another example of questionable casting in the DD movie.

I see your point. Like you said, Comic Book and Movie Ben Urich are two different people.
The trustworthy person that knows a superhero's secret identity seems to be a regular thing in comics (Alfred, Lana Lang, etc.) And it makes sense. If I were under that much pressure all the time, I would want someone I could trust to vent to and confide in.
So Ben Urich really could be built on in a sequel or the like. But, I don't want to bore anyone with my useless ranting again. :)

And thanks for the input by th way. I'm a comic fan, but only for the past few years. Mostly since I've started making my own money. Still, I focus primarily on the DC realm.
Marvel is still sort of vague to me. I like it, but I don't know a lot about it.

Also is this the first time Mike, Bill, and Kevin have joined for a riff since MST3K ended?. Or was that actually their voices on Cheap Seats a while back?

A buddy of mine and I were talking and it got me curious. Just wonderiing.

I actually like this movie and own the directors cut which in my opinion is far superior.
That being said it's perfect for a riffing!
Plus three mighty riffers?!?!?!
I can't wait!

I think so, yes...I'm not 100% sure.

I can tell you that this is the first time all 3 have riffed together on RiffTrax...but you already knew that  :P

macleod

This better not start any kind of flame war or argument, but I really loved Kevin, Bill, and Mike on MST...I think the three of them just got so good at riffing by time the show finally ended; I'm so excited to see what they've got for us with Daredevil.

Another question, does the director's cut have the regular version too? Because if not, it's not likely to synch up with a special version (which is a shame, because the director's cut actually costs less!)

gammer

No, directors cut does not have regular version.

Best to get the theatrical version. Thats the one RiffTrax used to make the trax.

God, this is gonna cause all kinds of problems, I'm gonna have to pay special attention on the dvd edition I buy :(  In the end though I'm glad they're doing the theatrical... thats the film I know and love hate :)
