Insert Coin(s) to Continue

For those of you who managed to catch the live version, which version (live or recorded) did you find funnier?

Perhaps I was just excited to be seeing the live riff, but I thought the live version was funnier than the recorded version. A few of the jokes seemed to just be delivered better.

Darth Geek

Maybe I'm just naive, but I thought the live version WAS recorded for the riff.

OmegaR!

If I can remember correctly, there were extra little things said here and there in the live version...

I'll cast my lot in with the live crowd, and will tune in next time

I couldn't hear all of the live version, but what I heard was better. Which just proves they should do second takes when recording. I think they've gotten a little too comfortable with their cushy process. Now that the silhouettes are gone, they don't have to record everything in one take.

ShadowDog

"Did she just say Chipping?"

What on earth makes you think that a riff would/could be recorded in one take?

Any chance those of us who've bought the recorded version will be able to see the live one, Conor?

The Live version was great except it was laggy.  Don't know if it was just my connection speed, or if the system was just overloaded.
Looking forward to the next "Happening".
On timeout

We may have recorded it.  I'm not sure if there's a plan for it.  Will let you know next week.

The fact that we saw them do just that on Rifftrax Live Online?

Was probably your connection.  We were thrilled with the amount of viewers, but as ustream said, it was a drop in the bucket compared to what they've hosted for campaign events and the puppy cam.  (seriously)

But you thought that stuff like the Dark Knight, LOTR was done in one take?

bratpop

I'm saying even though they can obviously do a riff straight through, it was probably the extra time with that riff that made it way funnier. I get the feeling they strive more for "one unflubbed take" than "one perfect riff." I've heard plenty of lines that I thought they could have delivered better, and now I know it's true.

Of course I'm just beating around the bush. The problem is YOU, Conor. You need to get all up in Mike Nelson's face and be all like, "You could have said that funnier!"  ::) :P ;) :D

Yeah they said 40,000 people watched the Presidential Debates....

bratpop

More people watched the debates than Rifftrax live? Man, what the hell's wrong with people?
