Of course, if you guys really want to get together and watch something in the chat room, you should consider partronizing your friendly neighborhood iRiffers.

I don't even know HOW we'd coordinate a synchronized watching....  I originally was just thinking we watch it on our own and then jot down any awesome jokes we think of, and then share them in a "favourite lines" thread.

I think I'd actually be up for a coordinated chat view if there was some way of really being able to pull it off, but this is one hell of a time of year to try to find free time that isn't late at night.


Anyways, I am working up a list of rules for the game and a better explanation of how there's no actual riff, so people don't get confused.....  I'll post em Monday.

We did it a while back (a long while back, now that I think about it) when the forum riff of Harry Potter was released.  Everybody just got into the chat room, we cued up the riff and the movie, and somebody typed "go."  Perfect synch isn't really necessary for it to be a lot of fun.

Plus there's at least one set of riffers out there who took that riffing in the chatroom idea and recorded a few actual riffs.

Nice... I do that sorta thing when my friend in Seattle gets a new album that I already love and talked him into getting (or when I sent him a copy of the beach boys album I mixed together), and we sync via AIM, and listen at the same time.  It's fun actually.

True, but It won't bother me either way as I won't get to watch it till I return to the states in January anyway

And just to show how much of friends we all are, we are all hoping they will release that movie you keep mentioning before you get back!!!  Just to spite you!!!
