I learned that a crystal skull can be magnetic, and that the magnetic field from such a skull can be completely blocked by wrapping it in a piece of cloth.

I learned that if one alien loses his crystal head, then he splits into a dozen alien skeletons which just sit around in a circle forever, 11 of them with crystal heads.  Then when the missing head is replaced, they collapse back into a single alien, grow skin and organs, and take off in it's spaceship.
