I'm getting a little tired of all these recent movies.

Harass Bastards tastelessly riffed The Crow. I haven't listened to it yet.

Even though it's oh so riffable.  James' list missed a comic book movie that'd be good to see riffed (though perhaps in poor taste): The Crow.

Contrary to popular belief, Compound and I are not the same person.   :P

Are you sure? I've never seen us in the same place...

Wait.  Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Is it that thing about the llamas in the space program?

Again, not everyone's a raving fanboy like yourself.  I believe that fans should be allowed to voice displeasure with the way things are being done if they feel that way.  That doesn't make us ungrateful at all.

For example, let's say that you're a huge Yankees fan.  Now imagine that they trade your favorite pitcher.  Does it make you ungrateful to the Yankees if you complain about it?  Not at all.  It just makes you concerned about the decisions that the team is making.  That's all.

So, please do everyone a favor in the future and read more of what we're saying before you accuse us of being ungrateful.  Thank you.

That's what an ungrateful person would say.  Commie!

I am new to the forums and have not posted before but this thread has compelled me to.
From reading all the comments I have come to the conclusion that they don't want Riff Trax
they want MST3k.  I'm sorry but that show is dead and you should be grateful that you were
able to see it while it lasted, I know I am.  Also they are not selling out or ignoring you or laughing
at you or any of the other rediculous statement that have been made here.  They are a growing
business in it's infancy and they are trying to reach a point of stability to where they can afford to
do all the movies that not only they want to do but also the ones you are suggesting.  Give it time and
let them get on their feet and stable.  Unfortunately in business you have to, at the beginning, appeal to
as many people as possible or you will go out of business.  But if you wait long enough and you are
established enough you can start doing what you would like to do instead of just doing what you have
to do to survive.  They are not trying to snub any of you but they are doing what they can to please
enough people to get themselves established as a viable business.  Sorry if this offends you or makes
you angry but you are all being selfish and whiny.  Give them credit and praise for even doing this because
remember they don't have to and they don't owe you any thing.

First of all, awesome wall of text.   :gouge:

Secondly, you're wrong.  I don't want Rifftrax to be MST3K.  Like I've said many times before I'd like Rifftrax to have more variety in the kinds of movies that they riff.  I'd like Rifftrax to go back to the way they were during their first year.  I don't care if they do newer flicks as long as older flicks get their due too.  That's all.  And that's just my opinion.

I never knew that voicing a simple complaint made us selfish and whiny.  Please, stop being such a fanboy.  I let you love Rifftrax without going after you guys.  So, why do you people feel the need to attack our views repeatedly?  Can't we just have different viewpoints and leave it at that?  Why must you twist our words and falsely accuse us of being something that we're not?

Are you people so insecure in your fanboyism that the moment an opposing viewpoint comes along you feel the need to attack it?  Really, what is wrong with you people?

I give praise where praise is due.  I'm a Rifftrax fan.  I've been here since the very beginning.  But I'm not going to silence any complaint I might have and pretend to love everything they're doing just to please you fanboys.  I'm very sorry about that.  I'd just rather be honest and voice my opinions.

How would you like it if you posted a thread that said "I Love Everything That Rifftrax is Doing!" and I went in there and attacked your views?  You really wouldn't like it, would you?  Because it's uncalled for.   Well, you see, unlike you I'd never do something like that.  Why?  Because I actually respect people's different viewpoints.  Maybe you should respect mine, too.

Can we find a new term for "fanboy"?  It's become the "douchebag" of the internet.

Quotebecause remember they don't have to
It's not like we all signed some petition and forced them to come out of their retirement against their will. They LIKE doing this, and most of us still like paying them. Those who don't, don't HAVE to buy anything. But Rifftrax HAS to do this like Carrot Top HAS to be pure evil. It's just the way it is. Mike HAS to not go work at Arby's. And Bill HAS to not try to get by on proceeds from Meet Dave.

Hmm. You know, I loved MST3K and I love Rifftrax. I don't think every Rifftrax is gold, but I didn't think every MST3K was gold either (The German Hamlet comes to mind). Most of us were fans of the original show, and when looking back over the years your memory of MST3K might be skewed. Don't get me wrong, I loved and still love the show, but when looking back the bad gets overlooked in favor of the good. There's a good and a bad for everything, Rifftrax or MST3K or Family Guy or the Simpsons or anything you care to name.

So if a Rifftrax is a hit or a miss, you have to take it in stride. A lot of it is personal taste. I love the Rifftrax with Mike alone, or with Mike and Kevin, but sometimes when all three guys are talking and riffing at once, it gets overwhelming, which I felt sometimes with The Happening, whereas my girlfriend doesn't like the Rifftrax with Mike by himself. To reiterate, a lot of it is personal taste. Someone might not buy a rifftrax for any of the LOTR saga because the movies themselves are so long or because they love the movies, whereas I'll buy them within 10 minutes of them being released.

And, for the record, I haven't bought Glitter or Crossroads or Missile to the Moon. I watched the samples and thought they were funny to hilarious, but I think some of my avoidance comes from just how unappealing Glitter and Crossroads really seem. I have zero interest in pop icons or stars, especially the two stars of these movies. Missile to the Moon, well, I'm sure I could turn it up somewhere, but when I can watch the big cheese movies like Star Wars or the Matrix, why take the extra effort? Especially when a movie is borderline unwatchable. The Wickerman was about my limit for the riffing of a bad movie, just because the film itself is so dull and boring and pointless.
