I'm pretty net savvy and I still use IE.

Isn't that a contradiction in terms?

:D

I can view more plugins and extensions in my IE browser, but I have Firefox as a back up.

Which ones can't you view in Firefox? I've not had any trouble thus far.

So....anyone know how I can bypass the region detection on Hulu so I watch Rifftrax? :)  An anonymizer doesn't work.

jewishcarpenter

Proxy sites ain't working either?

mrbasehart

I've tried before, but no luck.

So, there are mac-heads here...what do you do with an old mac? The recycling programs they talk about only seem applicable if you're buying a new one--we're not, I've rescued my wife from that.

And there seems to be no way to wipe the machine or anything like that.  So what do we do with it?

RIP: My Computer

Got it a few years back from some gamer kid on eBay who had to sell it for way less than it was worth. Now it's dead... everything is gone. All my files, programs, settings, everything... gone.

Goodbye old computer. Hello new Gateway, crappy keyboard and Windows Vista. We may hate each other now, but we're going to have to learn to get along. <sigh>

Condolences...I'm currently on my 3rd motherboard for my 7 year old computer, why don't I just buy a new one you ask?  Ya know...I never thought about it...

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a motherboard that fits all the hardware I have from seven years ago? ;)

kodiakthejuggler

That's tough, dude. I myself have lost a hard drive or two, and it's a true pain to have to get all your lost things back, many of which cannot be retrieved. It's all part of Microsoft's plight to make you upgrade! [/conspiracy theory]

I can just picture the conversation now: "All right, new PC. You don't like me, and I don't like you..."   ;)

SaucyRossy

That sucks buddy. It's also why i back up everything on three different external hard drives
