Doctor Who?

Are there any movies or TV shows where you bought one or two releases in the series but then they seem to have stopped releasing them?

For me I have the first 3 seasons of Rocky and Bullwinkle and it has been two years since season three was released and no sign of season four.

Also what happened to NYPD Blue?!

I got the first four seasons about four years ago and really got into that show but there hasn't been anything since!

Anyone know what's up with these two?

Rattrap007

GI Joe.. The released all but one last half season..

Doctor Who?

That's odd.

Does anyone know why Xmen and Spiderman cartoon were not released when the movies were doing so well?

It seems like a no brainer.

Er well sort of. I bought the first two Dr. Katz DVDs and intended to buy all the rest, but then they decided to resell those to me in a boxed set of the entire series, and I sez no way.

Probably incidental, but I wish they had an extended director's cut of Children of Dune, because I hate barebones stuff.

And I dunno if this counts, there isn't even a widescreen version of Fierce Creatures yet. I'm waiting for a special edition, I don't even care if the movie's not special.

Okay, another loophole suggestion - Harry Potter. When they stopped making the 2-Disc special editions the REGULAR versions and started charging extra instead, I stopped getting them. Ripoff.

Also I bought Spider-Man and they never made any sequels to it. ;)

They refuse to release the third season of The Adventures of Pete & Pete.  :'(

Charles Castle

You know, if the space man puma thing turns out to be the correct religion, I for one will be very surprised.

'cause then viewers would realise how crap the films were by comparison.

On the plus side, the X-Men cartoon is due for release in the next couple of months. Spidey's not faring so well  :(

I'm another one who has the three seasons of Bullwinkle and are really upset that they haven't released the others yet (as much as I'm glad that they've released "George of the Jungle" in the meantime).

Hanna Barbara cartoons other than "The Flintstones" and "Scooby-Doo".  "The Jetsons", "Jonny Quest" and others had more than one season but that's all that have been released.

British series that have had many more seasons in the UK than have been released here - "Waking the Dead", "Jonathan Creek", etc.

"Poltergeist - The Legacy" - they released the first, weakest season and nothing since.  Did it ever occur to them that some people are waiting to make sure they're going to release the rest before they buy this one to be "completeist".  I bought a copy of it used just because I feared the rest would never be released.   :'(

"Here Come The Brides" - it's just one more season but that one doesn't have Bruce Lee as a guest star, I guess.

"Reboot" - the later seasons were nice but the first ones were better and should be on dvd.

"Earth: Final Conflict" - do the whole thing or forget it.

"Bump In the NIght" - not even whole seasons but "movies" made of episodes so far.  But supposedly Shout!! Factory is going to fix this (someday).

At least the 4th and 5th seasons of MXC are finally coming out.

Amen!  I've been waiting for this next release, it's been awhile since they put out volume 3.

But Amazon has the wrong product description for this.  It's not the 4th & 5th seasons, it's 4th & 5th volumes (check out the cover art).  so it will be the second half of the 3rd season (which is volume 4) and likely the whole 4th season (volume 5).  They probably should have just kept the numbering with the seasons, but whatever.

Oh, well.  It's forward progress at least.

Yeah i am really upset that i can't get any seasons of EFC on DVD.

Good news about Xmen.

Also where is The new Red Green Show.

I watched that all the time when I was a kid,I even ruined the video tapes I had it taped on but no sign of the show on DvD.

Relaxing Dragon

I'm still waiting for an actual DVD release of Rocko's Modern Life and Courage the Cowardly Dog (as well as the already mentioned 4th season of Rocky and Bullwinkle).

Night of the Creeps is in desperate need of a DVD release (I can only find it on eBay from time to time, in obscure VHS format).

And then there's Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, but the simple existence of that is still purely theoretical, so I'll just keep waiting.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

But you see, it's too important to have the factories tied up with cranking out seasons of TV shows that just ended the night before and have them for sale.....   ::)

Yep.  That makes season 5 the only one left to hit DVD!
