They stopped releasing seasons of the New Outer Limits after the first set. :(
Too many complaints from stores having them returned by people thinking they're getting the original?   ;)

"The Jetsons", "Jonny Quest" and others had more than one season but that's all that have been released.

I could be wrong, but I think there is only one season of each of those shows.

I wish they'd release some of William Castle's later movies, rather than the gimmicky ones he made in the 50s.  They're meant to be a little weird.

This only barely counts, but Disney released the "Recess" and "Teacher's Pet" movies on DVD, but we still haven't gotten seasons of the shows.

We also haven't gotten "The Weekenders" on DVD. Am I the only person on earth who would buy those shows?

No, but you might be the only person to admit it.

You're right, I'm wrong about "Jonny Quest".  I thought because they changed the animation in the opening credits it had more than one season.

But The Jetsons had three seasons.  They just weren't one year after the other for some reason.

Does anyone know why Xmen and Spiderman cartoon were not released when the movies were doing so well?

'cause then viewers would realise how crap the films were by comparison.

Is that a joke? The X-Men cartoon was over-drawn and under-animated, and featured my LEAST favorite version of the team. I watched it, but the time-travel stuff, when they started including such utterly useless characters as Bishop and Cable, gave me a headache (besides, having started out with Gambit on the team, the show already had a useless annoying douchebag). At least the first two movies, with their flaws, featured the version of the X-Men anybody actually cares about.

And the early-90s Spider-Man cartoon would have been just fine, if Marvel Productions had fought Fox over the rating for the show, like Warner Brothers animation did with Batman: The Animated Series. The show being "safe for the kiddies" is what ultimately doomed it; when the cops are firing ray-guns, I'm pretty much out.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Disney has the rights to release Studio Ghibli films here in America, but they just won't release Only Yesterday on DVD. They say it's because there's mentions of PMS, but c'mon, they released the movie where a bunch of raccoons fight off land developers with their testicles! There's no going back from that!

Doctor Who?

I liked the fact that the Xmen cartoon featured the less well known Xmen.

Even with the ray guns the Spiderman cartoon was still a good show.

The only reason Warners won their battle with Fox was because the darker Batman movies were doing so well at the time,Spiderman didn't have anything like that to fall back on.
