Hi all you first time posters!  I just wanted to say to sinisterscrawl that I actually still have the toy that's the basis for your avatar(!).

Those things-I-can't-remember-the-name-of were the best.  Just above Army Ants, Muscle Men, Food Fighters and Barnyard Commandos.
Snowhead the Blue Reindeer gave me all the presents in the world.

Pak-Man

That would be a Battle Beast. :^)

Dang!!!

Those were the COOLEST!!

It's been a while since I've seen one of those. Now I'm gonna have to start collecting them again.

Damn you!!   ;D

Janitor

Well thanks everyone. I've never been a part of a forum..or blog...or an 87 Chevy Nova. So, anywhoo, hope to add something um, lucid and interesting.

Love,
John

My one complaint: that generic RiffTrax theme music. It sounds like the music that came with my CD/DVD drive cleaner.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks the intro music is lame. It sounds like every other cheapo radio show or podcast music. RiffTrax can do better.

But it's already engrained into every Riffaholic's subconscious. Every time we hear that song, we salivate like Pavlov's Dogs.

We're Nelson's Dogs.

But it's so slick and soulless. I miss the goofy charm of the DIY MST theme. I know, I know, this isn't MST 2.0...

To me, the music sounds like it came with whatever mp3/podcasting software they have.  If I didn't know better I'd swear I have that same music on my movie creation software!

I always fast forward through that part anyway though.

Since I'm a female and you guys are Nelson's dogs, does that make me one of Ne...no, I won't go there.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

BathTub

Well we know Mike can write music, so if wasn't happy with it I am sure he could change it.

God bless you guys for doing Rifftrax. Like everyone else here, I was going through major MST3K withdrawals. I just got the Star Trek V trax, and it's perfect. It actually made watching that turd enjoyable.

Hey all!  I too have only recently discoverd to my delight of RiffTrax existence, and all I can say is "Huzzzzah!"  Pesonally, I think that because of its' very nature, RiffTrax can avoid one of the major pitfalls that contributed to MST3K's demise.  I refer to the fact that those in charge over at the Sci-Fi Channel were to tightfisted to fund the size budget necessary to aquire the rights to the movies that would be eventually riffed on...
