It's almost too trivial and/or obvious to mention. You know a "I ain't got time to bleed" reference is coming, so why not surprise people by not having one.

Hank

I had two problems with this Riff:

1. The riffs were ho-hum and less. It didn't seem like that great an effort was put into the thing (as a whole).
2. Charging full price for a fanfic. As an experiment, it should have started at 99 cents. I feel kind of ripped off, in that regard. I can riff on my own without having to pay extra for it. It's that big slice of professionalism that keeps me buying rifftrax, not simply the Crew reading random lines.

The movie itself is simply (too) bad. Not a "so bad, it's good (with a riff)" a la Manos, but simply bad, like Master of Disguise.

The Dark Knight

9/10 for me, The Riff was great because a lot of the jokers were original and were really well written but it seemed like it slowed down(previously said a million times before). Maybe a work force could be used for one half and the other. :);)

He's the hero that Gotham deserves
But not the one it needs right now
And so we'll hunt him... Because he can take it
Because he's not a hero... He's a silent guardian
A watchful protector... A DARK KNIGHT.

Ben

Yikes.

I've read all about the "dead air" on this riff, but...damn. I swear I counted almost five minutes of total silence at one point.

Mike, Kevin, Bill? Since you guys have delivered such quality entertainment in the past, I'm willing to let this one slide. But don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever pull a stunt like this again. If you felt some of the fans' suggestions were below average, please at least make an effort to fill in the blanks. Trust me, we won't mind.

Part of the arrangement with the writing of this trax was the understanding that we would not be doing any editing to it once the completed script was supplied to us.

Look, there are pauses, and then there are pauses. That's all I'm saying.

They ran out of time putting this together.  If they did it again in the future they would not have this problem.  The guys who compiled the script have FULLTIME JOBS you know.  Having been to the Tron showing of RiffRaff Theatre I can confidently say that a future fan-trax would be stellar.  Stay tuned for the Speed RiffRaff Theatre riff that is coming out in August.  Hopefully the Tron one will follow soon after.  It might be a good idea to knock off a dollar on the price, but it's still pretty cheap for having all three guys riff on it.

Meh, the B & R Rifftrax is one the better ones. Pretty much every Rifftrax has its low moments, I tend to judge the quality based on the number of laughs it provides, and the B & R Rifftrax provides more than the average Rifftrax. I would even argue that most Rifftrax contain more pauses than B & R (too much conversation / bacon / fart / other eye rolling filler) , long story short all Rifftrax are good, but this is one of the best.

Yes...they have full-time jobs working for Rifftrax. So, by default, that makes the script their responsibility.

I've never seriously complained about riffs before, as they're so cheap. But the fact remains that I paid for this riff, and I have the right to criticize it. Sorry.

Hey there killer. Riff Raff Theater compiled the script for this one. Riff Raff Theater is it's own entity and is not affiliated with Legend Films or Rifftrax. They (Riff Raff Theater) have full time jobs.

Steve-O

So apart from the gaps, what did you think of the content that was there, Ben?

To be honest, I'm mystified as to why certain people insistently defend this track. If Riff Raff Theater didn't have the time or schedule to properly commit to B&R,  then maybe they shouldn't have proceeded with the idea in the first place. Maybe the whole concept should have been unplugged by one of the higher-ups. I wouldn't know; I wasn't involved at all in the process, and that includes submitting any of the jokes.

In terms of the content that was on the track, Steve-O, I did find Alfred's deeply disturbing "bedtime story" a hoot and a half. Anything while Schwarzenegger was on-screen was pretty foolproof as well.

I'm more mystified by why you dwell on it for so long.  Do you need a refund?  Give me your address and I'll mail you 3 dollars.

Do you want a refund too Greg?  That refund will consist of me playing a violin for 10 days while you post on the internet.
