No, no, here's what I meant:

Everyone must, BY APE LAW, buy every freaking Rifftrax, whether it is a fan written one or not.
You have no choice!  Whining and moaning will not exempt you!  Also, you must give me some of your money too.

I was totally with you up until that last sentence. You got greedy, dude. For shame...

Solid 8 on the second viewing.  The first viewing I was too biased by my own giggling at hearing my own jokes making it in.  The ONLY thing I didn't like were the gaps, especially toward the end, but the jokes that made the cut were hilarious enough to keep it from dragging the score down too long.

And if you read The Flash's post a little more carefully, you'll see that he wasn't actually saying bettertomorrowamy did not plan to buy any future fan riffs, he was just taking bettertomorrowamy's suggestion.
Hey, correcting people IS fun! :highfive:

Thanks for the clarification bratpop.

Also, thanks to those who contributed their time and effort to the project.  I hope your future fan riffs go well.

Moxobna

I was *really* surprised by what a great job the fans did writing this one. The movie - which I'd never seen before and which gave me actual NIGHTMARES, thanks, guys - was made watchable, for sure.

bennyb

I definitely used to like this movie as a kid. NYTimes gave it a "dazzling" review too lolz

Only complaint is the lack of joke consitency. There are probably more in the first 10 minutes of the film than the last 40. Otherwise superb, 8 rating.

mrflibble

Gave it a 7.
Some truly great riffing, but it basically stopped half way through. I figured there was something wrong with my itunes but it was the actual track. If they'd kept up the pace of the riffing it would have been truly epic, but instead it just ends it being standard RiffTrax awesomeness.

TadanoriOyama

I liked it when the riffing was actually going on. But there were several massive spans of silence where I was forced to provide my own commentary, along with a little aid from my girlfriend.

I felt there were many, many places for additional comments and jokes totally left blank. As much asi like the jokes that did happen this felt like a 1:30 hour riff on a 2:00 movie.

I give it a 6.
If I'd known that flammable and inflammable where the same thing I wouldn't need a new lab assistant.

Omeo

I gave this one a 7; funny, but it didn't live up to it's potential.  I agree about the dead spots toward the end, of course.  I there were a couple of times when I thought something had gone wrong with my media player.

Some of the other reviews talked about the missed opportunities, which I also agree with, but speaking of missed opportunities, I didn't see anyone bring up the fact that one of the guards guarding Mr. Freeze was none other than former Minnesota governor and Schwartzenegger's co-star in two films, Jesse Ventura.  What the hell, man? Am I suppose to believe nobody else noticed that?

You guys should think about redoing this one yourselves.  I know it'd be a kick in Riff-Raff's teeth, but I can't help thinking this would have been a lot better if it had at least been a collaborative  effort.

From my script submission:

00:55:08 ^ "Welcome home frost-face." ^ (Jesse Ventura voice) You're in Minnesota now where I'm the most famous actor slash governor!
00:56:01 ^ "Get used to it.  You're gonna be here a very long, long time." ^ (Jesse Ventura voice) You'll never replace Gray Davis as California's Governor!  Only Billionaire Warren Buffet can help you now!  Unlikely!

My riff for Jessie:  "I ain't got time to freeze"

Raven

I had 2.  When Arnold attacks Jesse.  "Help stop Governor on Governor violence."
When Ventura said you can't live outside the cold zone I had "(as Ventura) The great state of Minnesota."

bratpop

I thought it was too obscure that that was Jesse Ventura, at least in that particular shot/scene. If you've seen the film once already, then yeah. Otherwise you're too distracted by all the stupidness. Plus, the human brain will not always accept the fact that Jesse Ventura is doing a scene with Arnold in Batman & Robin.

Also I didn't mind too many of the gaps the second time around. It helps if you've seen KTMA MST3k where they improv everything, and sometimes go minutes without saying anything.

RoninFox

Well keep in mind, while the average person might not recognize Jessie easily in Batman and Robin, the average Rifftrax fan is far more likely to due to viewings of Predator and references to him in other Riffs.  At least that was my thought.
