Thanks, but I'll stick to a thread that doesn't have the chance of being deleted at your whim.
seconded!

Good good, thanks for the support  :)

But I'd just ignore those from now on :)

Been in a covers kind of mood tonight.

I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Thompson Twins - Quick Step and Side Kick (1983)

Talk of Sixteen Candles in another thread put me in the mood to hear "If You Were Here" -- for my money, one of the most hotly sensual songs of all time.  Play it for a girl of a certain age and you're virtually guaranteed to get laid; or at least, you're less likely to get laughed out of the room than if you tried the same thing with "In Your Eyes."

I got this back in 2000 when it came out and loved it and listened to it obsessively, but never played to it much again until recently.  She's great, she has kind of a Dylan-esque quality to her music and voice and her lyrics are simple narratives and really interesting.

Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs

You know, they don't sound anything like the Bonzo Dog DooDah band (At least the tracks by them that I've heard don't), who they get their name from, which was a little disappointing for me when I found that out.

Ok listening to:

Goldie Lookin' Chain - Safe As Fuck

If we can walk together
Why can't we rock together

At this moment, I'm listening to the MAN...

Currently watching my way through Ken Burns: Jazz,. You'll never hear me complain about the soundtrack to this one.

I love it when Mary Chesnut does the alto sax solo ;)

I have some of the CDs from that series, I never got round to getting the box set.

Are the styluses easy to come by?

Yeah, I can pick one up online for under $30.  The turntable I own is still in production so it is pretty easy to find the replacement parts.

A few more CD's from last night:

Braveheart - Original Soundtrack

City Of Angels - Soundtrack
