Any chance of getting that single MP3 and riff file for Fellowship that was promised long ago?  I have the single sided version of that disc.

Hmmm that was added to the product a month or more ago. If it's not in your My Files area, let me know and I can add it manually.

Looks like I only have the two-parter version still.

All I have is the split versions in My Files.

I've actually never seen this one. Or the last one. Should be great!

You know what, I might've been wrong. I could've sworn we added one for the single-disc edition (non-split) but I might have been wrong. Let me investigate, and if it's something we never did, I'll look to see if we can obtain the version of the movie and create a .riff for it. Since the original mp3s were split we might need to do some editing on our part (unless we already did).

I'll post back soon.

Monty, can you download FellowshipOfTheRing.riff and see if that works with the single version? The mp3 versions of part 1 and part 2 both are exactly half the file size of that .riff file - so I think what happened was, FellowshipOfTheRingPt2.riff is actually part 2 for the split-version, and part 1 may have gotten overwritten. I'm looking into it - for now, can you try downloading that .riff and seeing if it works with your single-sided edition?

Good to see Rifftrax delving back into Middle-Earth. Waiting for this one with bells on. :^)

::cough:: Get a used one from Amazon.

with shipping, that's about 3 bucks, which is cheaper than the Riff itself.

i'm just sayin'.......

Hmm...  I want both versions of the film, though.  And I don't want two copies of it on my shelf.  Maybe I could just rent the theatrical?  I could turn in my Coke points for a free rental or something.

I bet they'll do a two-part version, though, anyway.  Why miss out on the potential sales to those who have the flip disc and aren't as obsessive as I am?

I finally bought the rifftrax for Fellowship of the ring last night. Despite the fact this is probably one of my all time favorite movies and the only rifftrax I've refused to watch. (I like a lot of the movies they do but watch the rifftrax anyway, but FoTR just seemed too holy for me to watch riffed). I've only gotten about twenty minutes in so far, and I've got to say I'm enjoying it. Mike and Kevin are pretty kind to this movie, not pointing out its inadequacies and riffing on them, but just...making jokes.

I've also noticed that while its been pretty hilarious so far, none of the jokes are extremely memorable "roll on the floor laughing" jokes. So I think I will be fine going back and watching this unriffed without hearing their jokes in my head (this has happened while watching spiderman, I always laugh now at unexpected parts because I hear the jokes in my head during the movie now).

So yeah, even though I was disappointed at first the next rifftrax was going to be this...I'm now excited.

That's a strange backhanded compliment.   :P

I re-downloaded the FellowshipOfTheRing.riff and played it.  It went all the way until the skip and then the riffing stopped at the break when Mike tells you to flip the disc.  I then loaded FellowshipOfTheRingPt2.riff into the player and restarted the movie.  I used Chapter skip to get back to the same part of the movie and the riff started playing right when it was supposed to for the second half of the movie.

So the split riff files will work with the single sided version, you just have to do a little work.  I'm glad to figure this out, since I'd like to revisit this Rifftrax in anticipation of the new one.

It does seem that this might confuse people that want to use the player for Fellowship and have the single sided disc.

torgosPizza

Yeah... interesting. I will see if we can get that version of the movie in-house and do some testing here. It seems like we should have a version for the single-sided track, but we don't. Or, that same file is supposed to work with BOTH versions, but doesn't. I will post again when I have an update. Thanks for the help.

Me, personally, i actually have both versions. Theatrical and Extended of the entire trilogy.  And to Fortis, after getting the Extended editions, that's to me is the only version that i watch, so it doesn't ruin it for me if they riff the theatrical.

FINALLY!
Theatrical again?

Yeah, who owns the Theatrical cut???  I've got the extended editon of all 3 LOTR, didn't see the need to double dip.

I have both theatrical and the 2 disk extended.

Very well, you rock.
