FINALLY!
Theatrical again?

Yeah, who owns the Theatrical cut???  I've got the extended editon of all 3 LOTR, didn't see the need to double dip.

I have both theatrical and the 2 disk extended.
I used to.  My friends and family know I'm a fan of the series, so I got a number of copies of the various versions for Christmases and birthdays for the next few years.  I ended up giving them all away except for the special extended editions.
I thought I was Dale.

Too soon, Dim. Too soon.

Damn.

(And that was the pathetic whimper of a RiffTrax fan who slept through 20Q's.  She blames a migraine.)

Oh, yeah, and the poster kicks ass.

I own neither version, so it doesn't matter to me, I'll probably walk down to best buy later and pick this up along with my mom's mother's day present (I had class last weekend so we're celebrating it this weekend)

Tech question,  Is the mp3 gonna be split in 2 again or one continuous track?  I'm gonna have to pick this up and would like to get the right one.

The only reason I already have a copy of Two Towers (theatrical version), was because it came free with a DVD player I bought several years ago at Best Buy.  If it wasn't for that, and for Rifftrax, I wouldn't own any of the movies.  I've only seen Fellowship twice (once with the Rifftrax) and Two Towers once (after I got it free).  I did pick up Return Of The King a few months back for $2 used, in anticipation of an eventual Rifftrax.  But I still haven't watched it.   I don't know why but I just don't find Lord of the Rings interesting.  To each his own, I guess.

Yes, and whatever happened to the single sided version MP3 and riff file for Fellowship?  Were they ever released?

Nick

Yay! Fellowship was one of my favorite rifftraxes so far! Can't wait! :)

If only Rifftax had been around back then, we could've planned ahead.

You mean you didn't look into the future and see that RiffTrax was coming? And you call yourself a RiffTrax fan. Pffft.

I'm... I'm sorry, but I really must emphasize this point.

Give me a break.  I thought I'd be scrabbling for survival in an irradiated post-apocalyptic wasteland by now.  I got Rifftrax instead, so I'm glad I was wrong.

I own all three theatrical cuts, all three extended editions, and all three of them combined onto one disc...I'm a super lord of the rings nerd...which makes it weird that I can't justify actually getting this riffftrax. I always remember the riffing of the guys while I watch the movies unriffed, so sadly I have to stear clear of these if I want to be able to keep watching these religiously and not hear mike kevin and bill making fun of it in my head...

Hah! Pansy!

I love the LOTR films we have both versions and I admit I was a bit nervous about hearing mike and kevin rip into Fotr. But it was hilarious and since both of them liked the movie it wasn't too vicious. it took me months to get my wife to watch the riffed version and she loved it too. It didn't take our enjoyment of the film down at all.

I am pumped for Two Towers. This is the best Rifftrax announcement since Weird Al.

Still haven't bought this one.  I'll have to pick up the theatrical/extended set today.  Been waiting for this for a long time.  Glad it's finally here!  I'm a little sad to see no Indiana Jones, though.  I figured that was a shoo-in with the new one coming out, and I'd definitely like to see the others done.  Oh well, either way, I'm getting something I've wanted to see for quite a while!

i havent seen the fellowship riff yet.  a technical question does the split in the riff correspond with the split on the limited edition dvds which also cut the theatrical in half?  ill probably listen to it soon!

Yes it does.  One MP3 covers Side A.  The other, Side B.

Sorry, didn't catch it. Could you point it out to us one more time?

Nope! Since it looks like most of the theatrical cuts all had it on one side of one disc, we should be good to just give you the one file :)
