I've been told that the extended version has the theatrical cut on it? There is a single-disc theatrical and a double-sided Extended / Theatrical version.

Regardless I saw theatrical cuts for like $5 at Wal-mart.
I've got the four-disc special extended edition, which does not include the theatrical cut unfortunately.  The two-sided version didn't come out till later.

Ah, well.  Shouldn't be too hard to find.

There have been three DVD releases, I think. Theatrical cuts, then the extended cuts, and then a combined version (with seamless branching, I think).

Looking forward to this one.

Interesting, I forgot about that huge ass version. But yeah the theatrical should only run you $5.98 or something crazy at Wally mart or Target, I just saw them there last time I went into a Target. Probably even cheaper on Amazon but it's nice to have them available like that :)

I own all three theatrical cuts, all three extended editions, and all three of them combined onto one disc...I'm a super lord of the rings nerd...which makes it weird that I can't justify actually getting this riffftrax. I always remember the riffing of the guys while I watch the movies unriffed, so sadly I have to stear clear of these if I want to be able to keep watching these religiously and not hear mike kevin and bill making fun of it in my head...

As do I, but I usually only watch the Extended cut of the movie
