Player limits me to watching on my computer though, whereas reauthoring lets me watch anywhere.

Plus you're so fickle.

Using technical know-how to pull the movie from the DVD, then add the Rifftrax audio to it (removing DisembAudio's syncing lines and, I imagine, the opening jokes and "... okay, we're back" comments), then burning a new DVD so that you don't have to bother with syncing, or you can throw away your copy of (whatever) so that when people walk by your DVD shelf, they don't see Crossroads sitting next to Glitter sitting next to The Wiccer Man ad infinitum.

You got that right! You can also download and print out your own custom cover made by a few of us on the board. Check out any of the DVD cover threads on the individual RiffTrax boards.

But it IS Coming, slowly but surely. And it'll be worth it. Just hang in there a little longer.

God I love hearing you talk nerdy.

There. I fixed it.

Some of the least popular, in no particular order:

Greys Anatomy
Glitter

Aw.  Those are two of my favorites.  But I knew I stood alone on the Grey's thing.

You're not alone. I liked Grey's A LOT.

"Fickle"?

I guess.  It's also an issue of not having a ton of free time to watch movies and reauthor rifftraces.

It's like the old saying about fishin':

If you're too busy for RiffTrax, then you're too busy.

In the spirit of Grand Theft Auto being released today, I'm stealing that.

I hope other Rifftrax buyers are not as fickle as Imrahil.

I'm not sure that not buying every riff makes you fickle.

That said Glitter, Over the Top and Island of Dr Moreau are 3 of my favorites so I guess I'm supporting the product by supporting the less popular titles.

Yea, Glitter and Over the Top are two of my favorites as well... but I can fully understand why they aren't huge sellers. I haven't read all 25 pages on this thread nor do I think that I am treading any new ground... But I'm sure the more copies a certain movie has in circulation, the easier it's going to be to sell a Rifftrax based on it.

That said, I think most of the more "hardcore" fans are here purely for the funny... and sometimes the movies that lend themselves easiest to the treatment aren't necessarily movies that everyone will already have on their shelves. I'm happy that the powers that be have thrown in some shorts and stuff like the Star Wars Holiday special... which do seem to be based purely on making the funniest possible product. I'll continue to be happy as long as they continue to throw me the occasional non-mainstream release like the aforementioned Glitter or Cocktail that almost forces a hilarious rifftrax just because the movie provides such great fuel...

I think certain "DVD / sequel-to-theaters" tie-in releases like Bourne Identity or Cloverfield or whatever might not be the funniest thing they could have tackled that given week, but I am hardly going to besmirch them for wanting to make money on their business venture.

Wait a minute; I didn't get a "harumph" outta that guy...
