Man...someone needs to teach Lileks about not writing sentence fragments. It's driving me up the wall.  Also, does he not have a spellchecker or edit his posts at all? Jesus. "Germaine"?
You mean you don't know Germaine Jackson edits all his posts?

Dude, he's a blogger. Give him a break. Recent studies says he'll probably be dead in six months.

Sentence fragments are kind of ok as a blogger.  Spelling mistakes are not.  It's one of the laziest mistakes a blogger can make and  it turns people off immediately.  It undermines your creditability.

He needs to visit Problogger.  This is why bloggers die young.  :D

Considering that Lileks has been blogging for longer than some bloggers have been alive, I don't think he's got much to worry about.

His problem is not an inability to spell correctly, or a lack of desire to do so, but the simple fact that the guy writes *a lot* on any given day.  Most of the spelling or grammar errors he makes are simply because he writes his bleats stream-of-consciousness.  He hasn't the time nor the inclination to go back and proofread something that he does just for fun, and he's stated as much several times.

Bruce Campbell... when John Cleese is just too expensive. (Then holy shit did you spend too much on the FX budget.)

You know this makes absolutely no sense, right? Campbell's never been used as a Cleese replacement.
So... would you like to apologize in private, or would you rather be humiliated publicly? ;)

And finally, monsieur, a wafer-thin mint.

Oh shit!  It's Mr. Creosote!

Even thinking about that scene makes me feel violently ill.  Thanks, guys.  I'm going to go worship at the porcelain shrine for a few hours now.
