No, the least we can do is absolutely nothing. Which is what I'll be doing.  To be honest (callous?) whether he lives or dies doen't affect me one iota. I'll feel slightly sorry for his family for about a minute, but honestly...it's Patrick Swayze.

I must shun you now!

First it's Trumpet players.  Now it's Swayze!  You make me sad sir!

I dunno... I find it kinda sad to think of a world without Dalton. And without him, we would never have a Patrick Swayze Christmas.

At the very least we should change St. Patrick's Day to St. Patrick Swayze Day.

It's the least we can do for this man.

What would he be the Saint of, though? It can't be beer. That's already taken.

That's a genius idea

I concur. Flocky doesn't think so because St. Patrick Swayze Day is his birthday, but I will convince him otherwise

We have Dalton, though. That's not going anywhere.  The rest is just a bit of insincerity and attention-mongering.

I can say this completely honestly: I love Patrick Swayze.  I love Dirty Dancing, To Wong Foo, and Ghost.  For all their cheesiness, I love Road House and Red Dawn.  The Outsiders and Donnie Darko are two great movies.  So with all the sincerity in the world and without the slightest bit of attention-mongering, I love the guy and will miss him when he's gone.  Very sad.

Well, I don't love Patrick Swayze and I'm sure his death won't affect me personally, however I'm saddened by anyone and everyone who has to face something like cancer.   I feel the same pain for Patrick that I'd feel if one of you said your sister/brother/father had pancreatic cancer.

I really just wish him well.  Not that any cancer is fun, but this is one of the worst, the best part being that it's often over quickly.

Here's to hoping he's a fighter.  I want to see Red Dawn part 2.

I think St. Patrick Swayze Day would be marvelous.

Yep. It's just sad to hear of ANYONE -- someone who won multiple Oscars, someone who made a few hokey movies, someone you never heard of -- having to deal with a painful, life-threatening illness. It tends to bring out the goodwill in people.
