This from an hour ago:

Patrick Swayze, who starred in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, his doctor says.

"Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far," Dr. Patrick George says in a statement. "All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic."

The actor's rep adds: "Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."

Well that's good news!

Is it too soon to Riff a Swayze movie to celebrate?

Tripe

My sister in law just called about this. Very Sad but hopefully not hopeless.

Doubt it would happen, but WHAT IF...

Patrick Swayze as a Guest Riffer??? :o

PlayMSTie

He should sue "The Enquirer." That plus guest riffing would be a GREAT way to keep his spirits up!

I'm taking a cue from BTA and changing my avatar to Swayze as well.

Keep your spirits up, Swayze.

True, but in this case, NE is Fox's only source as well.  I still say hoax.

Well, that was my point.  The Fox article states that a close source said he seemed fine lately.
I'm not sure what to believe. Remember Paul McCartney said George Harrison was fine a few days before his death.

First Jeff Healey, then Patrick Swayze. Crap, going by Road House that means Sam Elliott ain't too far behind....

I totally bought it until I got to that part.  Now I don't know what to believe.

At the very least we should change St. Patrick's Day to St. Patrick Swayze Day.

It's the least we can do for this man.

Instead of corned beef and green beer, we'll have short ribs and Red (Dawn) beer.
