Whoa whoa whoa whoa.  Stop the hate.  >:(

I LOVE David Mamet's scripts.  He's probably my favorite filmmaker.

It's alright dude, I was just referring to the one quote, is all.  :D

Don't forget about my PRETTY LITTLE MIIIIIIND!

Also, although The Ten Commandments is one of my all-time favorites, it is rife with 'em.  My personal favorites:  "I wish every day were a shearing festival!"  followed closely by:  "Your eyes are as sharp as they are beautiful."

"Not really, why?"
"Wanna save the world?"

No DVD shall escape their sight
Let those who tremble in bad movies light,
Beware the power, Rifftrax's might!

It's alright, man, no one's perfect.  We ALL make mistakes.

I have to agree about The Ten Commandments. In fact, I would have to very respectfully say that most Biblical type movies of that era are simply gushing with bad lines.

There was a Jesus mini-series a while back in which Christ was portrayed as a laid-back, groovy kind of Savoir.  At one point Mary says, "Your father would be so proud," and Jesus responds, "Which one?"

I wish I were making this up.

I always found the line from Casablanca, "This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship" to be a rather lame line, especially since it was said by a guy to another man.  Don't get me wrong, I LIKE Casablanca, I just found the line rather lame.

"They mostly come at night... Mostly."
I thought that was one of the better lines coming from one of the better actors (other than Weaver and maybe Reiser) in that movie. I would call out most of Paxton/Pullman's lines in that movie as almost painfully bad, though.

I always hated the end of Terminator 2, where Big Arn turns to lil' Johnny Connor and says "I know now why you cry." And to seal the barf bag, Arnie gives Johnny the thumbs-up as he's being melted!

And while I love Mamet, Heist was one of his lesser movies.  Great cast, though.

Oh, that one is classic.  Me and my sister say that to each other a lot.

Oh, Paxton is great in Aliens.  It's the perfect role for him.  He's usually a pretty mediocre actor, but I found this performance really pitch perfect.  It's cheesy without being silly, and funny without being annoying (at least for me).

Not the worst movie line ever, but since LotR is coming to rifftrax soon, I thought of this one.  There's a line LotR: The Two Towers where Aragorn yells to Legolas:

"Legolas!  What do your elf-eyes see?"

The line just sounds completely....out of place?  forced?  Ridiculous?  Why would he say "elf eyes"?  He's an elf!  Of course he has elf eyes.  It's a small thing, but it really bugged me.

I'll admit that it does sound clunky, but "Legolas! What can you see, since, as an elf, you possess much keener eyesight than I," sounds even worse.

I guess it's just a matter of whether Cameron's brand of cheese is too your taste or not, then.

I must admit, the "Get your hands off her, you bitch!" line worked for me, though.
