Women love being discussed in the context of sand!  "I'd prefer you to tiny, sharp grains of the base matter of glass flying into my eyes.  I guess."  I don't understand why it's not used more often as a pick-up line.

Great movie, but Legolas' "A diversion!" in Return of the King was hilariously stupid. Thanks, pretty boy, but we all caught on five minutes ago.

Also the "Shit!" "....yeeessssss." exchange in the Matrix.

To be fair, that is the kind of thing a love-starved 19-year-old guy would think is a smooth line, so it's really some George's most realistic writing. Plus, I agree with Anakin's opinion of sand. Sand sucks.

If you're gonna nominate it an Anakin line it has to be "Master Qui-Gon, sir? I overheard you talking about midichlorians. I was wondering - what's a midichlorian?" Who gives that kind of line to a 9-year-old? Alec Guinness couldn't have delivered that line without it sounding stilted.

Totally with you on this one. It was set up for something terrible and witty and then they pulled the rug and it was just terrible.

Not the worst movie line ever, but since LotR is coming to rifftrax soon, I thought of this one.  There's a line LotR: The Two Towers where Aragorn yells to Legolas:

"Legolas!  What do your elf-eyes see?"

The line just sounds completely....out of place?  forced?  Ridiculous?  Why would he say "elf eyes"?  He's an elf!  Of course he has elf eyes.  It's a small thing, but it really bugged me.

OOH! Lost in Space! Has anyone nominated this one for a Rifftrax yet? I saw it. It was everything I hoped for - Deliciously campy. :^)

I LOVE David Mamet's scripts.  He's probably my favorite filmmaker.
