It's still speculation. Show me where the CLUES say it's ROTK and you have my attention. :^)

Well, the Korean specifically does say King, that is for sure. Although, that could just a substitution for Lord, although Lord in Koren is "joo" as opposed to "won" which means king.

I hate to do this to you guys, I thought you were getting close.. I was just chatting with Sir Waddles and he gave me this to pass along to you, the humble RoundTable folk:

DaPenguin [20:10]: You have only scratched the surface -
DaPenguin [20:10]: And to these clues you give your best.
DaPenguin [20:11]: The puzzle, however, becomes unclearer still,
DaPenguin [20:12]: When you treat the answer as a guess.

Not sure what it means though. Sometimes he's even too cryptic for me!
Ok, my answer is Return of the King. It is not a guess.

(There is no emote for shifty eyes but trust me, I'm doin' it.)

The guy can't even figure out how to use Skype properly, and you expect him to be able to figure out Korean?

hmmmm.  well it seems we are going in the right direction.  Does he need us to guess which film it is?  But then we would be guessing, which doesn't seem to be what he wants.  Does he want us to know the answer, or is he looking for something other than a guess?

Pak-Man

Could it be.. The TRILOGY? Stooges being a trio? Or am I hoping too much? :^)

Those time codes lead to the moment when he starts talking about the possibility of a new book...

Pak-Man

Methinks he wants us to show how the clues show we KNOW it's LOTR, rather than us guessing it based on what we have. :^)

They do mention Mt. Everest in the interview, and tackling all three would most defiantly be a Mt. Everest.  But any one of them by themselves would also be a Mt. Everest.

And the possibility of a book isn't really a possibility.  He said that he doesn't want to write one any time soon.

It can't be the trilogy, they refer to "the movie" more than once. Can someone post a compilation of all the clues Penguin posted? They're sort of spread around right now.

So here is the evidence:

In Korean it says exactly: Gold Circle King

He said it was a huge endeaver, which means:  The extended edition

Therefore, it would make good sense that it is Return of the King.

The jumble pointed squarely at the SomethingAwful.com interview. We should've gotten the answer there.  >:( Hopefully they'll put up the unedited interview tomorrow before the answer is "expected of us" or whatever. Still no idea with those punctuation marks though. The Troll 2 quotes were total red herrings, of course. DaPenguin's poetry often is. Look at what was said in the interview about the next movie.

I still don't see how that follows. All 3 had extended versions. :^) Gold Circle King = Lord of the Rings. Doesn't tell us which one.

Maybe it's in the title of this thread. DaPenguin change it to "THE GAME HAS BEGUN".

Gandalf the White says "It has begun" in Return of the King, at the onset of the final war.

Does anyone know the ascii code for carriage return? I know it's in there, and it's the only way I can think of that the symbols would fit.

True, unless you take the use of the word King as intended as opposed to Lord.  Altough, given da penguins clues so far, you never know.

I also just wanted to say... whatever you are finding in "Korean" - is not something that's part of the game this time around. I know at least that much. Sorry to disappoint.

Keep digging! (And no, that's not a clue either.)
