Keep in mind though "Im kum eh won hyung" (a phonetical spelling of the Korean from somethingawful.com) is not the title of Return of the King in Korean.  I would assume they did that so that you couldn't just do a google search of it.

Couldn't a king of a golden circle also be a LORD of a RING? And then couldn't it be ANY of 'em?

Yeah, that makes sense.  Maybe it's Fellowship of the Ring, who knows.

Did anyone listen to the interview? Maybe it's just me, but the length of the blurred audio seemed more right for Return of the King- I can say pretty clearly that it wasn't The Two Towers, anyway. Of course, he could have been saying "Lord of the Rings" which would sound about the same, so who knows.

Well if we focus on all the "Beginning" references, Fellowship makes sense...

But with the bleep right at the right moment, and the lack of any reference to the title of the movie afterward. I wonder if we're being messed with. The dialogue seems to rule out Troll 2 though...

I would agree that Troll 2 is obviously completely out.  Which now that I'm realizing that Thanksgiving is coming up, it makes a great deal sense that it would be a popular movie.

Here is what was said about the the new Rifftrax after the bleeped out name. 



Mike - It was a lot of fun, and it was sort of the Mt. Everest of this endevor, and we've climbed it.  And I think it should be a lot of fun.

Lowtax - Do you feel that that's an odd choice because the movie is so popular and so many people like it?

Mike - It'll be good because first of all It'll cause maybe a bit of controversy but I think that the fact that the movie's actualy good may help the experience and certently it helped in the writing.  I liked doing a movie that I actually personally liked. 

Lowtax  - Do you feel that the writing now is going to be funnier that you pretty much knew everything about the movie and were a fan of it before doing it?

Mike - yeah, I think I'll be able to get inside it a little more and reference things i think will delight the fans."



Sure seems to be Lord of the Rings to me.  It's defiantly not Troll 2, they talk about Troll 2 earlier in the interview.  And I know Mike is a fan of LOTR, look at Edward the Less.

See, this also implies Return of the King to me, since it won all those awards and everything. That's another reason why they might have picked it over the other ones, whereas they hadn't previously done any sequels: at least as many people almost certainly have a copy of RotK as Fellowship, whereas I bet there are at most half as many owners of Matrix 3 as the first one.
