You heard right.

Vin Diesel sat down with MTV News to talk about the upcoming forth installment of "The Fast and the Furious," mentioning the reasons for his return to the franchise.

"I think doing the cameo in 'Tokyo Drift' confirmed a lot of things for me," said Diesel. "It confirmed that if you create a role that the world kind of identifies with, or the world adopts, sometimes you have that responsibility to revisit that role. I'm a little bit slower than the average actor that just jumps into the sequel, but I think the time has come to revisit Dom Toretto."

In addition, Diesel confirmed that Paul Walker will reprise his role as Brian O'Conner. "Gotta have Paul Walker," the actor smiled.

The new movie revolves around Brian (Walker), who is trying to help the feds stop a heroin importer known as Braga. With the help of an informant named James Park, Brian - and ultimately Dominic Toretto (Diesel) - wins a place on the criminal's team, where he - and his flashy Nissan - plan to catch the man red-handed.

We all knew it was coming, but I'm rather surprised Vin is coming back.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are both desperately in need of a hit, so it's not that surprising.

I still think Paul Walker is a good actor. He was in THREE good movies in '06' Running Scared, Flags of Our Fathers, and Eight Below. The fact that he is still black listed as Vin Diesel's sidekide does not bode well for his career. Going back for another FF is probably his only option at this point... sad really.

Is this really necessary? I'm all for a good, dumb action movie, but this is ridiculous. If Vin is going to do a sequel, at least he could do another Riddick movie.

Good to know they're at least entertaining the possibility. When it comes to Hollywood, though, I don't count any cinematic chickens until they're staring me in the face. There are too many Uwe Boll movies (and Fast and the Furious sequels) out there to make sense of how people in La La Land think.

Batman, James Bond, the Terminator...

But if The Mummy can get a sequel long after people care, why not revive Vin Diesel's career in the franchise that started it all?

I've haven't seen the Riddick movies, but I love dumb action movies (as is evident by my avatar) and I LOVE David Twohy's The Arrival. (the poor man's contact)    I'll be renting the riddick movies now.

Pitch Black is fantastic, but I really didn't care for Chronicles of Riddick.  It's a BLAM (Big Loud Action Movie), not much more.  And it's less of a sequel and more like a spin-off...Chronicles has absolutely nothing to do with Pitch Black, except they contain a couple of the same characters.

Just because Paul Walker was in good movies doesn't make him a good actor. Timeline anyone? I went into that movie thinking "Paul Walker is a hottie" and his acting was so horrible, I don't even find him attractive anymore.

Pitch Black is one of my all time favorite Sci Fi movies. Sure it rips a lot off from the genre but it does everything so well and Vin is a complete bad ass in it.

Chronichles was ok but not great. I really think they missed the opportunity to make some thing in the spirit of Pitch Black, what they should of done is just picked up where Pitch Black left off and tell a simple story of Vin and the other characters just trying to survive and get to a safe world.
