Is there going to be a forum there?

It's possible, but probably not.

If not, don't worry, we can always pick up the slack here.

Between this Forum and the forrestcrow MST3k Info forums, there's plenty of available discussion.

Mr`Death,

Thanks for your answer. I appreciate the response and the sentiment. Like I said, I wasn't trying to suggest that anyone in the DAP were doing anything wrong, I just know that even if you guys "officially" pull an episode, it still gets distributed by other people outside of the project. You can still find DAP labeled episodes on torrent sites.

Of course, from what I have seen with RiffTrax, MOST of the torrent site admins have been good about taking down torrents when requested by someone in the company. Mike and Kevin also made a HILARIOUS fake RiffTrax release of Star Trek: Generations that was fairly successful as a deterrent / guilt thing. We got a couple of people come over to the forums and say that one converted them to paying customers. :)

Anyone have a link to this vid? I keep hearing about it and have never gotten a chance to see it. I have a general understanding of the content of it, but just wanted to see it for myself.

It's a faux-rifftrax (mp3), not a video.

Okay, my two cents.

I'm going to look into this, although without very high expectations. Reasons why, I'll admit it. I really never watch the pre-Mike-as-host-episodes of MST3K. I really just don't find the others very funny. Like KTMA/MST3K episodes 1-episode 512 will really only give me a couple chuckles if that. And after being accustomed to Mike and his (in my opinion) superior riffing for so long, I doubt I'll really be able to go back.
Although, I really have to give them props for getting Trace and Frank. I will no matter what watch multiple episodes purely for Frank if nothing else.

Ahh okay.. gotcha... with "Big Voice" saying "BUY MORE RIFFTRAX!" over and over?

AmandaGal

I've only listened to it once but it starts out as a normal rifftrax with Mike and Kevin doing the intro and then they say something along the lines of, "I get the feeling this rifftrax was obtained illegally" and after a little snarky commentary, they decide not to work if you're not paying. I think they end up making fart noises.  I think at some point it does say "buy more rifftrax."

Awesome stuff.  Even when they're purposefully guilting the pirates Mike and Kevin are hilarious.

The funny thing is, I'm pretty much exactly opposite of that lol... I like the older ones better, and I'm not sure why, it has nothing to do with Mike, because I enjoy the Rifftrax a ton... the only thing I can remember thinking at the time was that it felt like the guys were laughing at each others jokes more at the end than they did at the beginning... I dunno, it doesn't matter, I love em all, just different flavors.

Here's something I that just occurred to me:

Do you guys think Cinematic Titanic might have been Joel and the lads' (and lass's) contingency plan as a way to ride out the Writer's Strike?  I mean, the timing might just be coincidental, but then again, it might not be.  Just a thought.  Incidentally, have you seen Frank's writer's strike video?  It's definitely worth checking out.

The CT plan of action seems a little too long term compared to how long the strike is likely to last.  Of course I could be wrong there, who knows how long the strike will last for sure.
