Strangest reason you ever saw a movie?

Transformers (2007)- Because no matter how horrifyingly bad it was going to be, I still had to be there because I'm a Transformers fan. Also, call it an experiment: "This script is so God-awful, it couldn't possibly be made into a movie, right? So glad I paid for tickets to another movie and walked into that garbage heap.

Catwoman- Because I didn't feel right about making fun of a movie I've never seen. I also watched 10 minuts of White Chicks for that very reason, and I'll never, ever make that mistake again. If it looks like shit, and smells like shit, it's shit. No need for a taste test.

You are a user after my own heart.  :highfive: Anyways, on the related subject of paying for a more worthy movie while sneaking in to see that garbage pile, there was (And most likely still is.) a user on the official Bayformers movie boards who accused me personally by using my user name of doing something illegal by sneaking in to see Transformers after paying to see other movies. Believe me I had to do this twice, once for the first part and another to see the rest. I'm guessing some people just do not have lives. It's like I insulted his family by hating this movie so much I didn't put one dime towards watching it. Really, Bayformer fans are so touchy!!! Insult their movie and they throw a hissy fit.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Pissy fans are the ones who know, in their heart of hearts, that what they are defending is a carefully constructed, painstakingly polished, steaming pile of shit, but are still trying to fool themselves.

TFW2005 was a board I used to regular, then had an on-again, off-again relationship. After witnessing the mass retardation tha happened after people saw that movie, I pretty much decided I had enough. The internet can be awash with stupidity, but the gushing, unabashed religious FURVOR over that... I'll be generous and call it a 'movie'... was amazing.

I swear, 50 people said some variation of "any 1 who didnt like this is just h8n 2 be different," though one quote was so hilarious I memorized it- "Anyone who didn't like it is just comparing it to The 6th Sense."

... REALLY?? So The 6th Sense is the great baromiter of quality now? That's truely amazing. Thats' the kind of bordeline retarded thing someone says if they're the kind of person who doesnt watch movies that were made before they were born. That won't watch black and white movies, or anything pre-CGI for that matter.

And yes, those same goobernuts accused me of stealing, too. Sorry, somehow that damn 5-hour long infomercial managed to break numerous box-office records. The 15 bucks I donated to Ratatouillie and the theater honestly don't weigh heavily on my conscience, nor do they lighten Bay's pocketbook. In fact, I think I'd feel worse if I contributed to that asshole's magnum opus.

Not to say that... EVERYONE who loved it is a mongoloid... I don't understand HOW, but a lot of (normally) smart and reasonable people seemed to enjoy themselves.  :gouge:

I'd like to take this oprotunity to thank Kevin Murphy- if he hadn't suggested the pay-for-a-more-deserving-movie deception in an interviw on the volume 4 (I think it was) MST3K boxed set, I wouldn't have thought to do it.

Alot of them are also bleeding hypocrites as well. They bash the Generation 1 cartoons at any given moment saying that the animation was shoddy and stuff. And granted there were some very cheesy episodes but compared to stuff like Turbo Teen and Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling they were Shakespearian. On top of that they fail to realize 1983 was a very different time. DBZ level cartoon violence was either hyper-edited or banned altogether.

Yes, thank you Kevin for such sage advice. When you absolutely, necessarily have to watch a movie you know will be painful but want to see how painful it is, always fund a better product.

And I'll bet one of those numbskulls was the same guy at the Bayformers boards who accused me of being a criminal in his SIG no less. :P I'm still trying to figure out why anyone likes Bayformers, even when they give me the details. It's like we're seeing two different movies here. I'm actually glad Welker was not hired to voice Guyvertron. I found everything about it6 obnoxious and insulting to my intelligence. I mean if this movie was so well put together what was up with Aussie Chick and Anthony Anderson's plot arc? They went absolutely nowhere with it. And Sector 7 was a huge waste of John Turturro's talent. It also pissed me off that Jazz's death was handled so nonchalantly as well. God, at least in the G1 continuity there was some proper mourning for fallen Transformers.

He also brought it up in his book, A Year At The Movies.  If memory serves me correctly, he also said something along the lines of "What I did was illegal.  Don't do it.  Or, in the very least, if you get caught, don't tell people that I was the one who told you to do it."

GUYVERTRON, WAHAHAHAHAHAAA! Nice, nice.

Fuck it, I'm gonna write a book. I could write a 1,000 page book on how horrible that movie is, and damn it, I'm going to.

So anyway, yeah. I went to The Condemned because it looked bad, and ye Gods, I was right.

I saw "Spice World", in Theatres, with my friend in highschool because it was literally the highest quality film she was interested in seeing at the time.  She had terrible taste, but she almost never got to choose the movie when we went out with friends, so I bit the bullet and went with her.

Hell, I got lucky- my other friend saw "Glitter" with her instead.   :gouge:

Sigh... okay, you just... damn it. I went to go see Spice World. Paid my own money. Went with my sister. Because... I... actually wanted to see it. In my own defense, I was 15 and unable to buy porn.

One day, I found Wiccer Man, Glitter, and Crossroads on sale in the same store. That checkout lady probably thinks I'm the biggest retard on the face of the planet, but the Rifftrax were thankfully worth it.

Spider-man 3- To see Spidey and Venom together on the screen.  Yep, I'm a card-carrying geek at times.  Sadly, I blinked and completely missed it.

Ishtar- Despite the picture's reputation, folks have often said that it's not all that bad.  They're not wrong.

Heaven's Gate-United Artists was founded in 1915 by Charlie Chaplin, D. Griffith, Mary Pickford, and I want to say Douglas Fairbanks (I'm not sure  who the fourth guy was).  This picture toppled the whole damn thing.  How could I miss it?

White Chicks- I'm utterly, utterly immature.

Waterworld- There was nothing else on.

Pulp Fiction- Because my mom told me not to.

Seriously- Why was Venom on for just two goddam minutes?

Avi Arad. Originally Sam wanted The Vulture as the secondary character. Sam really, really doesn't give a damn about Venom, and you can tell by the way he handled him onscreen.

Arrrrgghhhh!!!!! This is another character whose legacy was defecated upon by a man unfit to bring the character to life.  :grr:

"The Shadow" because I wanted to see what on earth could have caused Alec Baldwin to not do another Jack Ryan movie.

It was so bad, we were riffing in the near empty noon showing.

I was stuck in school on halloween because of my school's lockdown (If anyone heard about that whole shooting thing in Philadelphia with the cop and stuff) . Since we were out of the danger zone, my english teacher popped in a copy of 300... Oh, it was awful.... And no rifftrax! A friends and I got to rip it into bits though. I can't wait to the the actual rifftrax and check how many of our comments were on par.
