"X-Files" stars, crew reunite for secretive sequel

Quote from:  The Hollywood ReporterFans of "The X-Files" no longer have to rely on Internet rumors to seek the truth about a sequel to the 1998 movie based on the popular TV series. On Wednesday, Fox announced production will start December 10 on the sequel, which reunites the show's stars, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The studio also picked July 25 as the U.S. release date.

meh, might be interesting if it actually concludes the Alien Conspiracy story of the show.  I stopped watching around season 6, from my understanding that's about when the show starting going nowhere.  Although, I never found the conspiracy episodes that interesting in the first place.  Just kinda went on and on without any explanation, like Lost.

I believe there was a thread about this already...

Anyway, I think I read that its supposed to be a stand-alone story.

Just kidding... I hated that storyline.

I never cared that much about the alien conspiracy stuff myself, and the original movie basically ended it for me since it basically said "well, gee, there really were aliens. yup. sure were. most definitely. so, uh...yeah."

I'd rather they come up with something unique and tell the whole story around it and be done with it at the end of the movie.

I'd rather they'd left what good feeling we have left of the show alone and not try this.  Yeah, it could turn out alright but why risk it?

Moolah.
Maybe.  But you can't keep fooling people forever if you've got s**t for product - IF, that is.  Just look at Star Trek: Nemesis.  Luckily for the fans the truth got out before opening weekend.

Thanks.  Tripe's upset that the Devil Girl is gone.  But, hey....Halloween's over, you know?

And the irony is that there are others who have this picture on their accounts still...and some even worse.

Doctor Who?

Please let this be a good scary movie...

Yah, definately. The scary ones were the best. I'd take a movie about a murderer who can squeeze through a mailbox slot or a leechman hiding in a port-a-john over a lame-o alien conspiracy plot anyday.
