This looks pretty darn exciting, particularly for getting Joel back into the movie-riffing business.  Rifftrax will likely remain first in my heart, but there's plenty of room for this project as well.  But I was always one of those who loved Joel and Mike equally.

That graphic looks like a representation of some kind of Deep 13-ish place and Gizmonics Institute-ish place...

It looks like a 7 1/2 foot boat... the CinemaTitanic, I'm guessing.   ;-)

BEERxTaco

Yup, I really don't see any downside to this... unlike that other recently announced project that underwhelmed me.

Tagline? What are you referring to?

Subscribe to the newsletter.  You'll see it.

I did - still didn't see what you were talking about.

That looks like a boat to you?

I assume that they will release DVD's like the Film Crew did.

Good Stuff.

Let me get this straight:

Paul Chaplin and Jim Mallon are resurrecting MST3K with "The Bots are Back" animated adventures...

Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl are doing Cinematic Titanic....

And of course Mike, Kevin, and Bill are doing RiffTrax.

What I want to know is how many MSTies were doing sacrificial satanic rituals to have all this come to friution.

Oh so that was the graphic you were referring to... it does say "Payload 500 DVDs", sounds promising!

Maybe we shouldn't assume that this rules out any of those 5 for guest roles on Rifftrax. Or, they could even do a mega-crossover riff. Who knows?

BEERxTaco

They could be on a collision course for wackiness!  :D

If LucasFilms is involved does that mean that they might be willing to release the the star wars holiday special?

If only so it can be rightfully riffed?
Every day of my life I find the wisest and best to fix our attention on the Good and the Beautiful. If you just take the time to look at it.

I don't know if even the most diehard fans are willing to sit through the Holiday Special, it just hurts too bad.

Lucas has chillaxed a bit with the Star Wars parodies, what with Robot Chicken and Family Guy... and for what possible reason would there be a private Lucasfilm party for them... if the movie riffed was not a Lucas film? And with Joel saying how terrible it is... please let it be...

It's all so overwhelming. It's like for Halloween, MST3K was hacked into zombie chunks, but now those chunks are all individually rising from the dead to form things that aren't quite MST3K, and my inner fan doesn't know whether to break out the shotgun and start mowing them down, or try my best to make do with the resurrected chunks of my beloved entertainment.

Ah well. No matter how good or bad these other offshoots are, I think I can speak for us all when I say:

Rifftrax Forever!!!
