Ghost Dog is a great movie! What the hell?!

As for me, I am of the opinion that one does not walk out of a theater, no matter how badly one might wish to do so. Although really, every time I've stuck it out, I've regretted it... cases in point:

Miami Vice (because 90% of any movie should be about people quietly driving a multitude of vehicles or talking on cell phones)
Envy (apologizing for 20 minute streches is HILARIOUS, RIGHT?!)
Transformers (2007) (I was angry for a full month after seeing it)
War (Jason Statham AND Jet Li? That can't be bad!)
The Condemned (Wrestlers starring in movies... lord)

Although I was happy I didn't walk out of Dragon Wars.

You weren't allowed to show toilets either.   :)

I think you weren't allowed to act either at some cases.

It's weird, I've never been able to walk out on a movie either, but I've come damn close a few times. For example...

Batman & Robin: When Bat-Clooney whips out the Bat-credit card.

Matrix Reloaded: I was really liking this film right up to the point where the Merovingian sends the Orgasmo cake to the blond, and then we are treated to Neo using his "Neo-vision" (or whatever it is when we see stuff as green floaty numbers) to scope out the blonde's privates as she "enjoys" the cake. Wanna talk "cause and effect"? The effect is I want my money back. Why? 'Cause that scene was retarded!

Ultraviolet: I remember this movie came out around the same time as Aeon Flux. And from what I understand, this movie was more like the Aeon Flux cartoon then the Aeon Flux movie was, in the sense that not a single *#$&ing thing made any sense AT ALL.

I also kept falling asleep during Yojimbo, but that might have more to do with how exhausted I was and less with how bad the movie was.

Yojimbo is a favorite of mine, but it can even put me to sleep if I'm tired enough, just because i don't know Japanese and reading subtitles can lull me to sleep.  I'd suggest giving it another try when you're alert.

Haven't seen that one yet, but I imagine it was pretty bad.  Good movies have been made with wrestlers though, not many but they are out there.  Case in point, Princess Bride.

... Damn, you got me there! However, I would note that Andre the Giant was a supporting character, and not the main star.

As for Condemned: There's nothing more frustratingly retarded than a movie that preaches about violent media and society in big, obvious strokes- then proceeds to hand out big, brutal action scenes. Fer' cripes' sake, the thing was produced by WWE, where the hell does it get off preaching to the audience about the evils of violence?! Otherwise, it would have been a decent "watch it one time and enjoy" kind of movie.

Chaos

Wait, hitting people over the head with a sledgehammer is violent? Well, shit, now I don't know WHAT to believe. ???

I don't think we can count TPB as a successful "wrestler movie". ATG was in no way in the middle of the action, and honestly, 95% of the time I can't make out what he's saying.

Andre was the pure inspiration for the Fezzik character, and was an important character, if not the star.  I'd never claim Princess Bride was a "wrestler movie", all I said was it's a good movie made with a wrestler, but it surely is the best movie to feature a wrestler in a prominent part.

Unfortunately the quality does drop off pretty fast once you get past number 2 on that list (which I'd say is They Live personally.)

Aha! George "The Animal" Steele played Tor Johnson in Ed Wood.  That's a pretty good movie.   :)

Oo, well played, I somehow forgot that one.  Would that actually surpass They Live, or would we put that at number 3?

Hmm... I'd have it as my number one, personally.  I was never a huge fan of Princess Bride.  They Live would be second though, I saw it again the other day and thought it was pretty darned good.

Predator has Jesse "The Body" Ventura in it...  That would be in my top 5.

GalvaTRION

Damn... Predator AND the films of Ed Wood... it would seem I have been slain by your words, and prepare myself now... for glory. The rest... is silence. (*says "bleh," sticks tongue out, closes eyes*)

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."  I got fifteen minutes into it and I just couldn't take it anymore.  I got further into "Heaven's Gate,."  "Hudson Hawk," and "Waterworld," disasters all, but when  Gilliam falls, he falls hard.

You are banned!   :grr:

You don't debate on Fox News by any chance, do you?

Uhhhh...that was a joke. For you see I do not have banning abilities.  But seriously, how can you say you only made it through the first 15 minutes of Fear and Loathing?  The beginning is the funniest part.  Obviously you have a "different" sense of humor.
